Yeah, it breaks me up too. Nothing hurts more than paying that much for goodyear. Then again, the 2k Lobbs and Anthony Cleverleys are devastatingly painful when handing over that type of money for goodyear...such a rip off for good style, and l feel stupid for doing it.
No worries Isshy. Now...
New Edward Green shoos. Nice to get another pair, and my first on the 82 last, so quite exciting.
I've had butterfies in my stomach since yesterday, feeling very nervous about my purchase hoping l would be able to snag them. I got there and there was a delight to my eyes, lots of Church's and...
Ordering from St Crispin shgould be an exciting purchase.
You mean bevelled waist? A fiddle back waist is a narrow fiddle shape.
Paper pegs...not wooden pegs? If they are paper l would love to see a photo. Would also like to see some photos of your cobbler's shoes too if that's o.k.

Good stories.
Nice.
Some of my older handmade Vass shoos.

Another great pair:

My new shoos - Church's 6 eyelette half brogue oxfords on the 136 last. Love these babies, and the last fits very very well. Had to size down by .5.
Will be placing an order for these Vass half brogue oxfords soon.
Without doubt, Vass are my favourite rtw shoe.

That's why you need to wear all your good shoes as often as you can. Never wear the good ones sparingly (eg, special occasions)...wear the good ones everyday. I will try to wear my bespoke alligators once a week just in case they don't fit me in 15 years time. I would rather wear them out then...
I have entered the world of the serious BIG shoo daddies now. It's an exciting journey and feels really good. Not just good, but reeeely good. Money is never wasted on great shoes, they are worth every cent, and the experience is priceless. The story behind the shoes is a big part of it.
