Hi LuvMyMan,
these are not just regular banana colour shoes, no way. The colour of these is not the true colour. The shoes l recently bought are the spectular `lattanzi tans' that are rare as hen's teeth. I have searched 16 years for the special "Lattanzi tans" and i've never seen shoes with...
The perfect shine
1). Use boot black `rich moisture' twice over shoes to moisturize and smooth surface.
2). Use boot black `two face plus lotion' twice over shoes to clean and smooth surface.
after this you will get a softness and feel of leather like you have never experienced before.
3)...
Too amazing for words!
I raise you these. The highest quality rtw l have ever owned. The highly elusive Silvano Lattanzi. I feel like a really lucky guy owning these. Highly prized shoes and something l have been after for 16 years.
Snagged another pair recently of the BIG John Lobb. I have only polished them for 4 hours with many hours to go over the next few weeks, but so far so good.
I am always chasing the perfect shine. I haven't reached it yet, but l think l will soon. I've ordered special high shine `boot black'...
Wow is the word. The colours and lasts and combination of the designs make for an eye popping combination. Makes a nice change from the usual browns and black. Fun shoes.
Here is a shot of the newest member of the family, my purple BIG John Lobb.
Here is my family of Westbournes, all BIG Johnny Lobb.
the lads are all fantastic performers.
That picture was taken in the sun and was brighter than usual. The colouring is slightly altered on that pair, but it was always quite red in that photo.
The group of colourful shoes above are the true colours.
Thanks for the good words on the shoes, l think that colour for shoes is superb....something about it is really special and will look great in years to come as they age nicely.
You would have to travel if you wanted a handmade gunboat type of shoe. Clients tell me that Jan Keilman makes...
Got some beautiful green John Lobb. I have been really wanting a nice pair of green shoes for over 12 years, so getting these was a real highlight in my shoo collecting career. I am very pleased with them, and the shoes fit me the best out of any rtw l have ever worn. I LOVE both my blue and...
I recall the S.F poster Dopey being asked by a cobbler in Italy if he wanted norvegese shoes with a welt (rand) or without one (you may want to ask him). No jokes. But l do agree with what you are saying with regard to norvegese shoes usually not having any rand.
My norvegese below have no...
Isshy, how can you be sure that bentivegna has an inturned upper? I have looked carefully and it would make sense that it does have an inturned upper like goiser. Why? Because I see no evidence of the welt laying on top of an out-turned upper, nor do l think it would make sense to make an...
Isshy have you seen the Santoni norwegian constructed shoes without the dimples? They can look identicle to a simple inseamed norvegese except they have a feather. If you could tell me you saw a norvegese Santoni look-a-like without dimples then l may have the answer to my question about dimples...
Yes, Isshy and l love our welts and stitches.
What l would love to know is if there are any hand inseamed shoes with a hand carved feather that have dimples on the insoles. The J&M handmades, Cleverley bespokes, Vass, St Crispins etc have hand carved feathers but they do not have dimpled...
Yes, l LOVE the norvegese and bentivegna like very little else.
Yes, the ltalian rtw shoes are probably the best for quality and construction techniques. LOVE the ltalian norvegese styles. My Santoni bentivegna constructed shoes are better quality than Vass and St Crispins without doubt, and...
I still don't like the term bentivegna used to describe Vass construction. I prefer to describe Vass construction as a fancy version of reverse welted (goiser) with a hand carved feather and an inturned upper. I like to call true bentivegna as a shoe with an out-turned upper, and even without a...
