How do folks react to your hat wearing?
The hat on this drawing, if it have a 3" flare crown (flat top, not a telescope like most western hats), it would have a 6" brim! I need to have a 4" crown (that is how deep my head goes inside it)... that would make a 8" brim. It would be a heavy hat if made of felt! It would cover my...- Joao Encarnado

How do folks react to your hat wearing?
Most (if not all) shelf hats have taper on the crown (lets exclude top hats on this). You need a custom hatter with a strait sided block. A telescope crown crease can hide the taper a bit, but it's still there.- Joao Encarnado

I like the look and this hatmaker does hats with a 5x beaver felt but only if requested. If not requested, then it's wool. This one could be but it's not. Gloves... I hate to wear full gloves, all my gloves have the fingers chopped so I can use a keyboard/phone with them on.- Joao Encarnado

It's not my first woolie and I don't mind to wear it until it no longer fits (because it will eventually shrink), the problem is when I have to handle it.
