Second suit looks like something out of a period movie star's wardrobe, cool find! The jacket and trousers would look awesome as separates, but as a full suit the color and pattern are too reminiscent of the 70's in my opinion.
Unfortunately, this is a little snug for me so I'm letting it go to either a fellow lounger with a smaller frame or a possible son of a Lounger--Would make a fine Christmas present!
Up for sale is an immaculate 1930s/40s cardigan in a superb burgundy, made by well-known knit company Dehen...
Thanks a lot man, and yes the jacket is fantastic! I bought it from a vintage collector, for a price considerably lower than what you'd normally be waging for one of these.
Not leather, but cotton, a 1940s French canvas cossack jacket. Rare wartime pattern, unlined, deconstructed, but with nutty shoulder construction. I like it.
Thank you two for the feedback. I searched on ebay and found these belts. The style fit what I'm looking for, so I took the plunge with one of their chestnut browns. Quite cheap, but maybe the quality will be much more than what I bargained for.
Hey all. I own several pairs of true vintage trousers and a few of them have quite narrow belt loops, my modern one can't even fit into them. Can anyone name a source for simple skinny dress belts (1'' or less)? Thanks.
As others said, a long sleeve polo would be a smart, comfortable alternative. Simon James Cathcart sells high quality long sleeve polos (with a fashionable spearpoint collar) at a decent price, check them out. They also look good with a tie because of the collar shape.
I don't think they were ever tapered. Hems this narrow (pegs) were already quite popular this early, and of course American trousers tapered down to around 8'' at the end of the decade.
Just acquired a pair of early 50's American flecked cream flannels. Hems are pretty narrow, about 8.7'', so not full pegs yet. Very nicely balanced vintage trousers though, still hoping to procure a pair of 30's cream flannels as well.
Cool one, albeit quite conservative. Is it a brocade example? I've just received 3 new 30's brocade ones, I ought to photograph them to show you guys soon.
