I use a suit jacket hanger with a thick woollen coat on it already and then hang the leather jacket over that. The softness of the coat underneath prevents any stretching or miss-shaping. I don't leave my clothes out primarily for dust, that and what kinda dad would I be?

Yes that's what I've settled on too, although thicker elastic, slightly more robust but flush side adjuster buckles, (suggestions welcome on interesting deco ones), rubber plasters, with suspender buttons. But so far so good. Thanks again guys.

I agree with you (BK), you know that, my issue is a sartorial question. Work wear and formal wear ironically support suspenders. But what of smart flannel trousers?
