Who Did You Just See Live?

A couple of weeks ago, Clutch. A great show at a small enough venue. It was a weeknight and I didn’t get home until after midnight, but I was able to make it to/through work the next day on three hours of sleep and adrenaline. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

The Godfather I and II, yesterday. Well, off-and-on they were in the background as I could not commit that much of my day to sitting in front of the television. Both are very entertaining and done so well that I never tire of watching them. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Dial 119 on TCM’s Noir Alley this morning. Right now on TCM, The Star. Enjoying the visuals of the exterior shots for b movies is the primary reason for both movies this morning. Both are entertaining although very different forms of entertainment. :D

    What's for Dinner?

Slow cooked pork carnitas in a citrus garlic marinade, roasted salsa, cabbage, black beans with feta cheese, cheese, Spanish rice and warm tortillas with an Irish Mule (Jameson instead). An insanely good meal at an out of town restaurant called The Lazy Dog. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Yes, they have. Each time I watch The Third Man, I find that I like it more and more. The story, the the visuals, the actors/characters are the tops. Too often Charade has just been a background film for me. Actually paying attention to it, I find it to be pretty darn entertaining. A great...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Began this morning with The Maltese Falcon and The Thin Man on TCM. If Lady ToE and schoolwork allows for it, I will follow this up with The Third Man, Charade, Laura, Vertigo, and Rear Window. What a lineup for a rainy Sunday. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Currently, Shield for Murder (1954) on ScreenPix. Edmond O’Brien seethes with a believable never ending anger in this noir. The pistol-whipping scene in the restaurant made me almost root for this corrupt police detective. It is definitely worth a watch. :D

    What's for Dinner?

Another night with slow cooked shredded pork tacos last night and a couple of Gentleman Jacked and cokes. Tonight, Lady ToE and I decided to head out for dinner. A Guinness on tap and a plate full of tacos making it three nights in a row of tacos for dinner. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

This morning on TCM’s Noir Alley, Hunt the Man Down. Three star rating that should be more of a two. A couple of days ago on FXM, Cry of the City. Starring Victor Mature, Richard Conte, and Shelley Winters. A pretty good movie. I came in a little late, but I hope to watch the whole movie...

    What's for Dinner?

Tortellini in a marinara sauce, with garlic bread, and a dinner salad with ranch dressing at a great little Italian restaurant. The owners are great people. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. Always a pretty darn good time. :D

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Again, Cop Hater (1958) starring Robert Loggia and a 23 year old Jerry Orbach (Lennie Briscoe). Based on the Ed McBain novel of the same name it is a two star movie. As usual, the visuals are entertaining to see, but overall I would agree with the two stars. A whole lot of just okay across...
