Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen. Only three episodes in and I find it to be quite entertaining. I have yet to have seen the movie of the same name but most likely will at some point. As with Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, it has entertaining characters, snappy...
This morning, The Breaking Point on TCM’s Noir Alley. John Garfield, Noir, great cinematography, entertaining story, a cup of coffee all combined to make for a nice morning.

Holy Wow! Nice to see/hear that all is well (as expected and hoped for) as well hear from you. Your presence has been greatly missed. Too many have left the Lounge, but it is still a pretty nice place to visit When time allows.

It is but the leaf blower puts things back to how and where they should be So there is no need for a call. As it is, they are often visited by code and law enforcement.
There is a neighbor down the street who likes to blow his leaves and grass clippings out into the street and across onto his...
I have most likely complained about this before but it still annoys me when neighbors wash their yard clippings and garbage into the gutter and then down the street. The gutter in front of my house is weed and garbage free and I do not appreciate the Slacks up the street on the rare occasions...
Lady ToE purchased a stick of Lume for me as a joke for Christmas. we both enjoy complaining about Lume’s commercials. We’ve moved from annoyance to having fun mocking them. The deodorant itself has a stink about it that I guess would mask the smell of one’s crotch, crack, and flaps, but I...
Finally saw all of Where Danger Lives earlier this morning on TCM’s Noir Alley. As per usual, I enjoyed Robert Mitchum’s work but it was the performance of Claude Rains which stole the show for me. An entertaining story and some nice cinematography made it a nice way to start the day.

I too enjoy and look forward to your reviews of movies and books and not just for their content but for the way in which they are constructed. Very entertaining and informative. Thank you for your contributions to the FL, FF!

The Reverend Horton Heat with Jason D. Williams and Dale Watson earlier this week. Wow! I have seen the Rev and Watson numerous times but Williams took the show to another level. Insanely phenomenal show! One of the best in memory. I cannot wait to see them all together again.

UFC 299: O’Malley vs Vera 2 preliminary fights and more Columbo. Although I am not a big fan of the styles of the 1970s, I do enjoy the early episodes of Columbo much more so than the Columbo of the 1990s and early 2000s. Better stories and acting and in some ways, better styles (probably a...
Early in my short lived off and on career in construction, I was taught the proper way to coil extension cords so as they would not become knotted up and would still be easily undone. I was pretty happy to share that knowledge with anyone who had an extension cord twenty feet or more in length.

Last week, the mother of one of my students came out to the school and made us tacos. They were magical! She kept making them and we kept eating them until we slipped into food comas. It was a wonderful day!

Stumbled across Columbo on the Great American Family channel during Christmas break. I remember it from my childhood but as an adult I find it to be much better. Smartly done; I really like it. I have spent most of this weekend watching it or at least having it in the background.

Black Angel (1946) on TCM’s Noir Alley right now. Despite its less than glowing reviews, I figured that since it was an adaptation of a Cornell Woolrich novel, I would give it a chance. It was okay for the most part. It felt flat. Peter Lorre as the shady nightclub owner was the only...
