    Walking Sticks & Canes.

Since you want it for style, you have a huge choice in your style. I have seen folks with everything from antique ivory to chrome skulls and even a fellow who had an eight ball for the head and the shaft made from an old pool stick. I have a nice piece of hickory that had a heavy vine grow...

    Walking Sticks & Canes.

Welcome to the place! There seems to be three categories that canes [or walking sticks] fall into: 1. Cosmetic, this is where it is strictly an accessory for fashion and elegance. 2. A working cane, those used for hiking or to necessity to get around. 3. Self defense, these are not limited to...

    Blaming the Enforcers?

As a Parole Agent, we call them "job security". However, today I did get a report that gave me hope. A friend of mine had a shovel, hoe and a plastic target frame stolen from his garage. A few days later he spotted the frame at a local house, turned out some kids there stole the stuff to build a...

What do you use to shave?

After a mention of the Van der Hagen soap I broke some out again. If it isn't the best value in wet shaving, I don't know what is!

bb, while many of our fellow loungers live in nations that are far more restrictive on firearms than the USA, many European nations have folks with collections that make me cry when I see them listed.

What do you use to shave?

If you are using the Van der Hagen soap from Walmart, that is a very good soap. I still use it regularly in my rotation. The Merkur razors are excellent, but their blades are not so hot. If you have a Dollar Store near you, look for the generic blades marked "Made in Israel" those are very good...

Ideas please about 20/30's bush clothing

There are tons of pictures from the Chapman Expeditions and the Teddy Roosevelt safaris from then. As far as rifles, there are tons of unloved "sportered" Mausers, Enfields and 1903s out there that are reasonably priced and would be perfect for your use.

Sarge, those are incredibly beautiful, nice to know such an elegant "bygone" is still being made. And I never thought I would be a fan of the mouse guns, but since breaking my neck and back several years ago, full power battle rifles leave me very sore after shooting very much. The AR lets me...
