    Rin Tanaka uses the names used by the makers: Racing shirt, Sportster, ... Never mentions cafe racer. Interestingly, the Schott straight zip is referred to as "single style" There's a Taubers competition shirt, but I can't upload the scan

    This is just my guess, but "double rider" sounds like it comes from the notion of a double breasted pattern applied to a riding jacket. Cross zip and straight zip are more intuitively eloquent.

    What looks like a half belt on the back is not on the same level as the belt in front. It looks like 2 sides of 2 different jackets. It's a mismatch. A case of "more is too much".

    It's good to know one way works better than the other. I think customs clearance takes most of the time. More than ever, it's an exercise in patience.
