CHP style jacket starting at a low auction. Not really sure who the maker is. Not Cal and all the zippers look like new YKK.

I'm not sure what this one is, but it looks pretty neat. Can't tell what these zippers are, and I don't recognize the shape when I look at the talon guide.
Seems to fit like a small, but the seller told me the sleeves...
For the second time now, I have stumbled across the same style, and presumably brand, of jacket that is being sold by two different sellers. Both are saying it is from the 40s / 50s, possibly horsehide, etc. Kinda curious about them now just because this is the first time I have seen a jacket...
Waiting to hear back from a seller for another measurement, but I might go for that. Looks to be in tip top shape. Strange that the size 42 fits almost like a 38 or 40. I have another Branded cafe racer, size 42, that is larger than that.
Though I'm not sure if I love the pockets. Kinda dampens...
Just an update on this: It was a scam. Oh well! The seller had his account deleted and after I opened a case on Etsy, I received a message from their "safety team" telling me the seller was no longer allowed to operate on their site. I now have to open a paypal claim. Not a big deal, but a weird...
Yeah, they have. 13MWZs have been around since the 50s, but they are both "vintage cuts". It's more that Wrangler has primarily focused on their cowboy cut / 13MWZ fit, whereas Levi's has a lot of different fits that have varying levels of popularity. Personally I was always more familiar with...
My guess is just because the 13MWZ is pretty much their flagship cut, and has been for some time. If they have changed the cut, the alterations have been very minor, so it pretty much is a vintage cut. Levi's has 511, 501, 502, etc. Of course, Wrangler has other models that they sell at Walmart...
Branded Leather Inc in NY is what you are looking for, I believe. They are still in business. They had a website, but it does not appear to be functional anymore.
They produce a number of different styles. For their really heavy CHPs or NYPD jackets, I think somewhere around $200-$300 might be...

This jacket ended recently and I was following it. Then today, I saw the exact same jacket, complete with the same description and photos, on etsy for $50 and free shipping...
Here's a jacket from Hillside USA. Starting at $85 and BIN at $125. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133627675941
This brand has a mixed reputation here from what I can tell - they produce motorcycle jackets and had good decent offerings, but at some point, they started using a pretty gross, printed...
And here's another one of those Branded jackets in Europe at a low starting price: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Lederjacke-Polizei-New-York/324440405336?
Weighs around 11 lbs! But it's a size 50, so...I thought that was going to mean a size 40 US before I saw the measurements.
That's a great deal for a Branded jacket. They make real heavyweight jackets, and I've always been wanting to try their police jackets. I'd snap it up if it was my size.
Apart from Branded Garments, LW, and Vanson (CW), what are some makers that consistently create thick, heavy jackets? Setting up an automated ebay search and I'm curious what to throw on there. Already have a search set up for Cal, but I would probably add them otherwise.
Zenmarket is what I have used, and I agree it is very simple. Between Buyee and Zenmarket, I am not sure which is the best value in terms of fees and money saved, but I don't think it is more than a couple dollars saved either way. One benefit to Buyee is that they have access to Mercari through...
There are a number of Japanese retail sites that proxy sites offer service for. The main four are: Yahoo! JAPAN Auction, Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping, Mercari, and Rakuten. To my knowledge, Mercari, Rakuten, and Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping are not auction sites. All of their listings are BIN. Yahoo! JAPAN...
Well, the Miklos Sas NYPD jacket is going back. The seller gave me measurements of 24" for the sleeves, but they were more like 22.5". It's a shame because apart from cuff damages, the jacket was solid. Very sturdy leather with nice graining. If anyone happens across one that is around size 38...
Yes, especially for smaller sizes, these proxy sites have a lot of options. However, when you start to look at the actual fees and prices, many of them aren't really incredible deals, they're just more uncommon selections than what someone is used to on ebay, particular US-based ebay. It can...
