Sugarcane Horsehide jacket on Yahoo Japan auctions. Only around $90~ atm, but I would be shocked if it didn't go up significantly. Ends tomorrow morning (EST).

Finding a bunch of good deals on Yahoo Japan auctions has been distracting, so I decided to buy one of the jackets there to see what the process ended up being like.
Not really sure who the maker is.. It has this label:
Which I think I have seen used by some makers like Sugar Cane...
Although not quite the same style or hide, on my eventual list to try out is a suede cross zip. I have seen a couple of them from Branded Garments and I think they look pretty neat.
As someone who wears smaller than 40, Buyee.jp looks very dangerous for my wallet. There look to be some neat jackets there, and the price is real low.
Looks really nice! I was doing my own search awhile ago and I believe this jacket was referred to me, but the sizing wasn't quite right. Ended up going with a Vanson. But now I finally have my own Cal thanks to @dannyk, and it's great to experience one first hand. As far as jacket makers go...

US Wings / Cooper Horsehide A2, $125 + shipping, seller open to offers. Looks to be in good condition. I know Cooper / US Wings stuff is not up to snuff with some of the heavy hitters here, but hey, at the very...
It is the most bizarre thing. I had a small rant in my original post, but I took it out, haha. The Cal without the back piece has been listed for nearly half a year. I offered above his asking price and cover shipping, and tried to explain that facebook marketplace now had their own selling...
You want to see some ridiculously good deals, here are two CAL's on facebook marketplace of all things. Sacramento, CA and Dillsburg, PA. $60 and $80, respectively. One is a Cal that has had part of the back panel removed, the other is labeled as a "Leatherman" jacket, and I believe the last...

Was thinking about this one for myself, but just completed a recent purchase and really don't need to buy two jackets back to back. It's a beauty of a jacket. The 55J14 (AER) model was produced in 1947, and it is...
A nice looking water buffalo cross zip. I have never had a buffalo hide, so I don't know how they wear. I know that a lot of made-in-Pakistan companies use that material, but this jacket was made in USA, although I'm not really sure what the brand is...

Vanson Highwayman size 46, $200. Most facebook sellers will consider shipping items like this, in my experience.

This is a really good jacket, for a good price. Poshmark sellers usually consider offers, too.
Nice Johnson's Leather. Seems to be pretty large size, no tag. https://poshmark.com/listing/UNISEX-VINTAGE-JOHNSON-LEATHERS-Jacket-5c354298de6f626c0f0611d9
I assume it's just a snap to attach a fur collar if the wearer would like to. Although I would agree it looks a bit out of place with nothing there, sort of like only having a single belt loop in the back of a jacket with no belt. Most brands put the snap beneath the collar, so it doesn't stand out.
I would have bought it if it fit, haha. Here are the measurements the seller gave me:
The pit to pit measurement is approx 21-1/2”.
Shoulder to shoulder is approx 19”.
Top of shoulder to sleeve is approx 26”. Actually outer sleeve length.
From the top of the back collar to the front bottom...
