    A very cool 1920's adventure

Hopefully this video will be okay to post here, I thought some of you would enjoy it. I asked him about the awesome wool hunting coat he was wearing , and he said his Wife actually made it for him based on an old Norfolk. I don't think this is a pattern that would normally have been found in...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

It's wool not leather, but I just thought it was a really cool piece that a few members might be interested in. I don't know the era, 50's ...

    Jim Green Vellies

They got pretty wet yesterday so this morning I decided to bite the bullet and give them a healthy dose of obenaufs LP. Being a tool first and foremost they really needed the protection , but I thought they looked good before and was worried that might change. Thankfully I can still say that...

Footwear to go with our jackets

They suck. I stripped the coating off them and did some things to make mine better, but I saw minimal change beyond the appearance and I just wear them occasionally mowing the lawn in the fall / winter because they're not good for anything else.

Tall knee high boots for men?

The example you pictured look extremely feminine as does the guy wearing them, so much so that I would likely assume this person is gay. I would not call them this or say anything insulting to them, but if I saw a guy wearing them I would assume they were gay. Now a boot like this I don't...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I got that Pendleton in yesterday and it's too big, I think it might be a 90's jacket because it kind of fits like it was made for a small but really fat person. I will have to see if maybe it'll fit my brother better, because I don't want to deal with trying to sell it.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Damn it ,now I can't unsee that. It's like when somebody tells you an abstract sculpture looks like something funny or gross and you can no longer see anything else when you look at it. I'll have to think about it, but that might have just ruined this jacket for me. I'm not kidding...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I'd find it hard to be done , those are all cool as hell. Western style and stout wool, what's not to love?

    Jim Green Vellies

It's only been two weeks, but I've worn them every single day ( except for my work boots ) out exploring on my minibike working in my shop and grocery shopping among other things. Really just general wear without care or worry, and they're still looking great. Any smooth out leather would...

    Jackets at the WW2 Museum

Thanks for taking the time to snap the pictures and share them here, I'm glad those jackets are in a museum for others to see and appreciate along with the service of the young men who wore them.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

It's going to be in the mid 70's today which isn't ideal, but with the wind chill I'll just barely get away with a flannel and this Golden bear vest I got in on Saturday.

Your favorite jacket that you returned?

I've bought a few jackets I was really excited about that didn't work out, and a good handful of what was I thinking duds that I'm embarrassed to have ever bought. There's only one jacket I returned though which I think was actually my 1st attempt to buy a leather jacket on Ebay if I remember...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I picked The " Golden Bean " ( as the seller listed it ) vest up from the post office on my way home from work today. I know the R and N look very Similar, but there's a Gold Bear right there. I can't really wear it yet because fall weather is still a few weeks out, but I tried it on and am...

    Jim Green Vellies

Well I had a bit of a happy accident with the Jim Green Vellies. One night on the pret boot dryer ( just a gentle warm air that naturally rises up through the tubes into the boots) caused an issue with the glue used on the insoles and made them squeek. I decided to make some new insoles out of...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I just scored a Golden Bear vest for $53 on Ebay. The lining needs a little work at the collar, but otherwise the price was right , and I like the color as well as the buffalo nickel buttons. [/url'] [/url']

    Field Jackets on Derek Does.

It turns out both my m65's have the waist drawstring, I just forgot be because I don't utilize it. As for the velcro on my '77 m65 it's not balding, but has come unsewn. Some is barely hanging on and some completely fallen off. What's there I don't think is balding but the hook side is...

    Field Jackets on Derek Does.

Apparently I just forgot about it because I never use the waist draw string, both my '77 Sew Sew and '85 Winfield have it. I may have to try the waist draw string the next time I wear the old Sew Sew.
