Thanks, HatsRme. I'm partial to bound brims myself. Looks like Massachusetts is the place to be for warmth today. Your Royal Stetson is looking great. Love the Borsalino, Miami, and the tie.
Fruno, I have made the same observation. I have the Fedora, marketed in the U.S. as the Sydney, and it has the softest hand of any of my hats, new or vintage. I find myself taking it off just to touch it. I've often wondered why it's so soft and my CD is so stiff and yet they're both the same...
Got this Knox on eBay a couple of weeks ago. 2 inch brim, 5 1/2 inch crown, 2 inch black ribbon.
I found ads that seem to date it to the mid-50s. It wants to be without dents, but I want it to have dents.

Glad to see we're all finding our way back, under one guise or another.
Also glad I wore my CD, as the forecast storm has arrived.

Some nice stingies today Great hats all around. I'm glad this place is up and running again. I was starting to feel disoriented, like I might need to spend money on something other than hats.
"Stetson 7X Clear Beaver from Hanny's/ Phoenix."
Alan, that's fantastic, and it has some meaning to me. I grew up in Phoenix. Dad bought me my first quality Stetson cowboy hat at Hanny's. It was our go-to store for suits and fine clothing back in the day.
"Today, a Borsalino Alessandria. 50s."
Miami -- Love that hat, and I think I enjoy seeing the cool ties you wear just as much.
Bob -- That Whippet rocks.
Alan -- What a fantastic hat. The color, the contrasting ribbon, the shape -- I love everything about it.
