Fantastic! I would have paid $50 for that in a heartbeat (only to be declared insane by my wife afterwards;)).
Quite a bit cheaper than the €1200 Borsalino mirror (still for sale that one)!
Sunday has come around again. Some stellar hats I've seen this week on everybody. Balm for the soul. The coverings this week.
Mossant
Borsalino Gorasgu Palladio
Borsalino Landasti misto Salvia (which prompted a collegue to ask if I was going hunting; see what I mean about green hats?)...
Thanks, Joe. It does goe well with the hat (and if you like green;)).
A very fine looking hat. Joe. I would hazard a guess and say the hat is either from the seventies or early eighties. Failsworth still exists, but doesn't make furfelt hats anymore (they do still offer woolfelt hats).
Steve Harley passed away aged 73. Rising to fame in the seventies with Cockney Rebel he was still going strong. He will be missed.
He could even pull off an outfit like in this clip, hat and all.
John Valtz
Steve's @mayserwegener find of a John Valtz hat had me looking into Grosso Valtz and especially John Valtz again for trademarks. It turns out John Valtz had his own trademarks. Here they are in chronological order.
1928
1929
I believe the Valtz hat owned by Daniele @Daniele...
For sale are these three Barbisio hats. All are a size 7 3/8 or 59. Two in grey, one in green. Full descriptions and the complete set of pics of each can be found here:

Barbisio fedora in grey with a telescope/porkpie crown. Size 59 with the bound brim at 7cm and the crown at 10cm. Some chafing on the binding and again the liner is ready to be replaced or cleaned because it is grimy. The hat itself is in good shape though. Cool looking hat. Again no labels...
Third one.
Again...
Barbisio Supremo stingy brim fedora in what I'd say is olive green. Size 59 with the overwelt brim at 5cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. In excellent condition this one. Weighs 105 grams. Again no labels inside the hat.
