Ok I thought this was yours - and what a great thing for Tom71 to have that one now. Right, it was the Cafecto style, I had forgotten that part.
If you have the ability, I would call and get into their production Queue - which is 12 months presently. Then I would Go See them in person - at...
100% agree, it's tough and durable yet easy to slide on & off, comfortable and not bulky.
You have the other padded straight - zip, correct? Is your a Cascade or Columbia?
Many more details in the "Show your Langlitz" thread, but I was overdue to show this one...
Oh yeah, and I'm not quite as grumpy today as my expression here appears... :)
Introduction - Finally, over two months after receiving it, I'll post the "second" brand-new Langlitz Columbia I received from them. This is a re-make jacket, as the first one was not long enough to even come near my belt, let alone cover it. In the process of returning the first Columbia, I...
^^ For sure. It's the most "snug" fitting Aero I have owned. I realized I ordered it prior to some weight room work and it's now (almost) too small upper body. But selling it I will loose a lot of $$$ and I do love the hide it's made of. So I'll keep braking it in for now.
I'm also a (slightly) larger fan of the Cal itself.
That said, since it appears you are fortunate to own both, take on the Mobster and break it in, enjoy it and use it, and most of all do a nice review of it periodically. Is the leather on the Mobster anywhere near as thick and durable as the Cal?
Not bad ideas, but there are many other brands and patterns that may be a better overall product for you.
I would encourage you to find a place to try some on, best way be far to tell what fits you and what you like best.
I had washed several "mall" jackets just to try it - in fact bought 2 from a local resale shop just t see how the process would work.
My suspicion was the (very) old thread in that Cal just could not take the spin cycle. I also failed to use the "delicate" cycle.
This is an important note. I completely "ruined" an old Cal-Leather in the washing machine, as the seams literally ripped apart. Even through there was only the jacket and a couple towels in with it. It was so filthy it really needed the wash. It's long gone now.
Another nice Langlitz, around the same price an JMax's find/deal above, but this looks pretty long & trim. More of a Scratch & Dent, but very nice leather on this one. Inner lining and even back issues could likely be resolved by Langlitz directly. Apx Size 40 and $320/offer...
Interesting un-lined - padded CR with excellent grain on the leather, but a few small holes. One pocket zipper needs re-sown back in.
Seller made me a $40 off offer, but I am not likely to take it. About a size 44
