Indycop, that body you brought to me on Sat, that at one time that had been a hat, has been blocked, sanded some more, new sweat band sewn in, shaped and a very nice ribbon put on it, I had it done by 9 last night, it looks good, wish we would have taken a photo of that wrinkled up, not...
We were hoping no one would catch us, ya'll all thought it was going to be a Teddy R, hat ( TR) I was shocked in how nice this hat turned out with the pin we used and just the overall look, I also thought ya'll would catch on when I was asking about the pins with the push back clasp, but we...
You need a good side view of the hat RBH, this hat is 100% beaver in the western weight, it make a nice lite hat and finished out very smooth to the touch.

I spoke with Art this afternoon, and he laughed when I told him how hard it was working with that lite body, he said yep, took him few bodies before he got the hang of it. we laughed about sewing the sweatbands into those hats, sort of like sewing a sweatband into a silk scarf blowing in the...
I put a "C" crease in mine, and it has a 1 1/2" wide ribbon, I can not decide which hat to wear, or go out in the shop tonight and make a new one

Art, take care of yourself, I know first hand about a heavy work load and what happens when you push yourself to far. The body and mind don't like it when you hit our age.

I will say this, when he put the new hat on he is keeping hush hush on, it was dead on what I had hoped it would look like on him, we nailed it to a tee. The history books have missed a good look with him and that hush hush hat.
Ya'll will just have to wait until Friday nite to see him with...
This is just what I did and it is working great,I used a small safety pin, cut it down on one side and super glued it onto the back of the pin, now I have a way to stick the safety pin into the hat ribbon and it holds on really nice.

Just wondering when you place the hat pin onto your hat on the ribbon and bow area, doesn't the clasp ( post) bother the side of your head, and push the sweatband inward? or do your hat pins have a something differant on the back other than the clasp ( holder) .
I have a hat pin, that I had...

Dee, I like it both ways, flat and also with the dip. Man that pink stands out when you had the pink shirt on.
Glad you like the hat, and I have to say along with all the others, it looks very good on you.
Will you be wearing a riding skirt so the boots can be seen when you have the hat...
I can get a lighter weight western body,in 100% which will allow you to have a brim up to 5" wide if you want one that wide.
There is a standard weight 100% western body and a lighter weight 100% that I can get sometimes, the color choice is the main thing on the lighter western weights...
