Best Stock Jacket w Armor ??

Really depends on what look you’re going for. Dainese, Alpinestars are both exceptional products from a safety perspective. They may (or may not) meet your aesthetic needs though.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks! Nothing much, just running 10klms every day & eating healthy. Well yes, it IS a superb jacket with even better provenance ;)

FS: Connolly Steerhide Aero Highwayman Size 46 Black

I have a similar jacket, made from the same hide. These really are a cut above. Whoever buys this will no doubt be very happy. Good luck with the sale.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

This IS a cracking hide. Surprising really that it’s not spoken of more frequently here on the lounge.....

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

My new-to-me heavy steerhide cordovan highwayman gets a run tonight. Probably my favourite at the moment.

    New York info

I doubt any local would pay the prices they ask for a sandwich. This is 100% tourist. But well worth the trip!

    The TFL Effect

I’ve got a bunch. Don’t really even wear them. It’s just not heavy jacket weather in Sydney. Hmmmm, does anyone have in an asymmetric zip pattern, size 42?

    Patina on 13 year-old Aero halfbelt and 20 year-old R-Jays cross zip

Great shots & jackets. To translate for our northern hemisphere friends, 13 year old Aero in Sydney conditions = approximately 3 winters worth of your normal wear. ;)

Looking to meet up with Eastman or Aero owners in S.F. so I may try your jacket and buy you a coffee

Don’t forget that Carrie & the crew at Thurston Bros (@Carrie @ Thurston Bros. ) will be able to provide you with a fit jacket to remove any concerns. I can highly recommend them.

    Keep or adapt?

The fact the question has been asked, indicates that you already know the answer. It’s not going to fundamentally change in shape or dimensions. So either you need to, or it needs to go.

    How heavy is your jacket?

Ok, I’ll play.... I’ve got 2 Aero heavy Steer jackets. Sheene = 2.6 kg / 5.7 lbs Highwayman = 3kg / 6.6 lbs That’s jumping on the bathroom scales with & without the jacket, so I’m not exactly sure how accurate it really is.

Aero Sheene- Fit Advice and Creative Guidance

Not a great deal extra I can add... I have 2 Sheene's currently & sold on a third to another member of the Lounge. Here's my 2c worth; Skip the zips in the pockets - they're bloody uncomfortable if you ever intend on using them as handwarmers. Shoulder gussets - personal design preference...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I fear you may already be too late. Unless a jacket was shipped essentially today, it may be delayed in transit & arrive after the 1st of July. I certainly have had items take more than 2 weeks to get here from the USA. Yes, there will be a 10% GST charge, but what about 'other' duties? I know...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Well, that's a good point. I have a handful of jackets & for the approximately 10 weeks per year that qualifies as jacket weather here in Sydney, they hardly get used! My place is like a museum, where you send a jacket to be meticulously cared for, but not worn out. Not this one. That was the...
