Dorfman Pacific does get their better straws made in the USA. There is a factory in MA that makes decent straw hats. The reason is that China cant make a decent straw hat yet. They also make the straws for Capas , TLS and a few others. Stick to the grade 3-4 and grade 8's from Scala. The others... -

When Dorfman started the Scala brand , the hats were made in the USA by Bollman. Then they were produced in the Czek Republic by Tonak.
