If you're thinking of a J24, I would take the LW version over the RMC - Actually that's exactly what I did
Black HH
And twice, Navy deer
This jacket is very functional although no armour, so keep that in mind. But you can also pose in it :D
So not any day of the week, but more like every...
It depends on what you are used to and body type I guess. I was wearing my perfecto in Montreal at in the minus 10c - 15c range confortably with a polar sweater under years ago. And here I wear a leather jacket most of the time. With a t-shirt until about 10c and then a thin wool sweater under that.
Yeah, I do not think rain hurts a veg tan jacket, but you will get wet wearing it in about 10 minutes as @Carlos840 mentioned... Not fun when it is the start of a bike ride or a long walk.
Now the LW, on the other hand, it keeps me drier than most rain coats. So why wear a fabric jacket when...
Fantastic, try doing push ups with it, I know I could do some with mine :D
Edit: You can let us know how it went without the pics, we will certainly believe you lol
Here is my understanding:
- You send an inordinate amount of emails
- Change the requests many times
- Then complain that they don't communicate well
Seems disingenuous to say the least doesn't it?
He called you stupid for the comparison you made, not stupid generally. Not sure if that...
I don't think there was ever a feud here. Only thing I know is that someone came up with the theory that BK jackets were made by Thedi, and it has unfortunately become a persistent rumour. Theo had to put facts straight quite a number of times.
That's exactly the kind of customer nobody wants... 93 emails, changing orders all over the place, and then slandering the maker.
Theodoros makes some of the best jackets out there, and is a joy to deal with.
My first ever Thedi
My second
I won't list all of them as I have quite a few...
Wow! That was fun to read! Very interesting to see how the Grizzly came to be. It is such a unique style. Here is a goatskin grizzly By Thedi
And this one in HH by LW
If I want to create my own design, with higher end leathers or unique ones, I generally knock on Jonhson Leathers door :)
Currently have something very unique in the works, hope it works out so I can post it in a few months lol
Yes, I have met Theo and I know his approach. He is too...
If they can work leather, they can work any branded leather you can send them. That's not the point. If you think about it, ordering a batch of leather and sending it to a maker will always cost more than choosing the leather directly from the maker. So there must be a pay-off for going this...
This an OTR Langlitz
In terms of range of motion, it is the best of all my jackets, I can do push ups with it lol
All the Aeros I tried on were much more restrictive, CXL and Vicenza.
I definitely agree that at the moment Shinki is put on a pedestal, and I have mentioned this before...
Definitely worthwhile, he came to get me from the station because it was too far to walk. I will try to see him when Japan finally opens up. The list of things to do and buy keeps growing lol
Yeah that's him, I remember he mentionned planning to go to Europe to do shoe repairs a couple of years ago or so :)
I have that same feeling but nothing to confirm it, I would also add from the top of my head Four Speed Leathers (been to his workshop) and Electric Leather Studio (same).
You should visit his shop next time you are in Japan, there were quite a few older models, including Jelado repros of East West, none of which was my size at the time sadly.
