Man, you are making A LOT of a assumptions vinny.
How do you feel about the slew of Cossack jackets that came out after Himels Heron?
And how do we know that when Himel says jackets will copy him, he's referring to SJC? Or instead others in the future that may not have begun yet?
Also, there...
Perfect fit! Really suits your style too, great pickup.
Also loving the RJB's, nice to see some real quality denim on this site for once! The zimbabwe denim or older version?
It was a light-hearted comment, stemming from the fact that I think it's funny that shinki is often described as being characterless while most say nothing of the sort when referring to Aero, which at least through photos appears to be much flatter and less natural-looking than shinki.
Maybe...
I'm saying that I can't take someone seriously if they look at a new shinki jacket and say that it's characterless, and also believe that a new Aero FQHH CXL jacket is not characterless.
Lackluster how? I know that the Heron is a bit wonky of a fit, but it's supposed to be. How was the craftsmanship/leather? And I don't want to hear any of this "classic characterless shinki" if you guys don't feel the same about Aero's FQHH
I went to Inspiration Los Angeles last year, very excited to check out Himel's stuff in person and to get measured up in person by the man himself in case I wanted to make a future order. I was really disappointed when I was wandering around his booth for a couple minutes mindlessly fondling...
Like others have said, changing the style of jeans you wear will make those jackets look a lot more proportional. I think the regular style RMC buco looks good, and it's a hell of a lot more elegant than the JEANSDA, even if the latter does fit you a tad better.
Hey guys, decided to pass this on to fund another jacket purchase. You guys know the story...
Owned for a few months, but not worn regularly on account of living in Southern California. I would say less than 20 wears. This fits like a standard medium.
Price: 1000 USD shipped to CONUS (either...
Upon further inspection... man, it's actually crazy they're offering you anything for that. It's such a small imperfection. Usually, with leather and stuff like that, they just tell you it's the nature of the product.
You'd be crazy not to keep it and take the 15% discount.
Real McCoys has bad consistency. Your new jacket could both fit differently and come with grainy or flat leather...
If everything is perfect except that imperfection, definitely keep it. It's going to get a lot more messed up as you wear it!
Considering it's a leather jacket that's meant to be a used and abused, having it arrive in a pristine condition isn't necessarily going to make a difference in the long run.
Scratch doesn't look too bad, and 15% is an appreciable discount... I'd keep it.
Also, the new jacket may fit...
