I might be biased because this guy is the founder of my favorite brand (Flat Head), but I think this looks great on him.
Masayoshi Kobayashi in his leather blazer:
I really love the look, especially with the black accents. I think that anyone here who feels they could pull off a black one could pull off this color too! It's beautiful.
Craig, the sincerity of your apology is too funny. I don't mind it at all, dude is a handsome fella.
No triggers pulled at this years Inspiration... I think that the Himels are definitely awesome jackets. But somehow, when I tried them on, I just didn't feel like they were something I...
Haha, it's true that I really don't like Aero's heavy CXL stuff. Other than being too damn hot here in LA (you should know!), I don't want to wear clothes that feel like they're wearing me, you know? I actually feel the same about denim. I think that you can get the best looking stuff when it's...
The reason why I mentioned Aero explicitly is that I am interested in owning an Aero jacket at some point, and I'd seen this enough times that I became curious enough to ask the question. At this point it's the only thing that makes me hesitant. Thanks to Thurston Bros, I see a bunch of Aero...
I was going to mention Lost Worlds as a counterargument to Devilish's hypothesis, but I'm done stirring the pot. Also, not interested enough in Lost Worlds to really investigate whether their jackets display it or not. For all I know Lost Worlds has wavy zips too, Aero's website shows straight...
I'm not sure if the leather used on perfectos was ever that substantial, you can see the arms have this way of holding themselves even without a person wearing it - think it's a RMC repro.
It just depends on what you look for in a jacket. Personally, seeing imperfections like slightly crooked stitches, or wavy zippers, doesn't give me any more enjoyment in a jacket. In fact, it gives me less, because I find it aesthetically unpleasing. In my perfect world, the jacket would arrive...
Care to tell me what this has to do with anything? It has no purpose other than portraying me as someone who is overly-critical.
For the record, the first jacket I received had drastically uneven zippers. I decided to contact RMC and they told me it was an irregular jacket, and graciously...
I'd definitely believe that it may have to do with how much zipper is in contact with the leather when using it, and thank you for that explanation Steve! Only problem with the first theory is that the jackets posted are brand new, so I don't *think* that the zipper would have a chance to mess...
I definitely doubt that there would be any functional problem, just an aesthetic problem in my opinion. Personally, I think it'd drive me crazy. It wouldn't surprise me if it was harder to prevent with thicker leathers, but i think that vicenza is a normal-weight leather, like Shinki.
Looking...
Hey guys,
Got a question I haven't seen asked. Is it just me, or recently have some aero jackets shown some strange wavyness around the front zipper? It looks a bit off to me. Considered normal?
Compared to these jackets on the aero website, which look very neat around the zippers:
Everything that you're saying is purely conjecture. You've explained your (lack of) an argument many times now, please take it to PM. {edit - mind your language, please}
As someone who hates bullshit, I applaud Superfluous for always standing his ground and making sense while doing it. If it were me, I think by the second response, my argument would have devolved into "You're a jackass."
Anyhow, I'm excited to go over some Himels at inspiration, and I'm...
I edited my post to reflect that mistake about 2 hours ago, I posted that really early where I am. What's the point of mentioning it, you surely know what I meant?
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if David Himel doesn't read forums about leather jackets. I am very interested in leathers and...
