Hey guys...
I've had this for a couple months now but have been too lazy to post or take pics... but I thought I'd finally get around to it!
This is an RMC Buco J24 (40) made of shinki horsehide that will go from black to brown eventually. It pretty easily goes brown on the edges but not...
My experience with a couple RMC jackets has shown me that the leather can vary a lot, from super grainy to super shiny and stiff to kinda plain and dull... Really a luck of the draw. Navetsea is right that the first J100 had mismatched zippers, a couple inches off if you put your hands together...
Of all the mistakes I've made over the years... I'm happy that going for something I saw as a compromise wasn't one of them. My first pair of raw denim, for example, was iron heart. I was never interested in something like naked and famous or APC, I knew it was only worth it to get what I...
$1100 shipped CONUS
sold!!
Hey guys,
It pains me to do this, but I’ve got to sell my jacket. I’ve decided that the arms are simply too short for me… It fits like a 38-40 flat head sizing. Size tagged is 38 but a 40 can make it work. Please let me know if you’d like any advice in sizing...
I'm assuming you were at Standard and strange...another place I'd check out is Self Edge in San Francisco! Denim Mecca for sure.
If the jeans you were trying on were sanforized than "sized to fit" is fine, if they were unsanforized then you would have an issue.
Indigofera is fine, definitely...
@navetsea If you absolutely hate leg twist, there's nothing you can do about it... if you buy unsanforized jeans, they're either going to have leg twist or you will have not shrunk hem enough. That'll be problematic when you finally want to wash them, or you want to hem them, etc... if you want...
I would recommend washing them, keeping them if they fit, and selling them if they don't...
They're a pair of jeans... I'm assuming that at some point, you'll want to wash them, especially if you live in Florida!
There have been so many people with unsanforized denim that have liked the fit...
Where are you located? Do you have any leather jackets that you like the fit of? This might seem crazy, but I wonder if you could literally ship over a jacket that fits you well, along with some pictures of you wearing it, and he could go hog wild.
Lmao to all.
Thanks gav! Yeah, I love it. Smells so damn good, and I’m just so stoked on how it fits. I honestlu couldn’t ask for a better fit even if it was tailored, at least for my tastes.
And I thought I was going light on the language on that post ;) I had to reread it to see if I said anything really crazy! I figured that we're all adults here, talking about leather jackets of all things, so that kind of language would be fine as long as it wasn't too gratuitous. At least we...
Thanks guys! Yeah, I think it's pretty damn cool. I was inspired by this one because I have a denim type 2 that I love. This seems like a very easy-wearing jacket. Luckily, the imperfections are only on the inside, the outside is absolutely perfect.
@ProteinNerd, yep, it's unlined. I'm sure the...
Hey guys!
I just got this. It's super hot where I am, but you know how that goes! The leather is incredible. It's unlined rough out--I think that's basically like a thicker suede that hasn't been shaved down at all. It feels, smells, and looks incredible. The collar is horsehide, shinki...
I think that most of the brands we like on this forum have great craftsmen, the differences are just in what the makers are trying to accomplish.
For himel, I think you're paying for:
Very expensive leather (shinki)
Very unique designs
High stitch count, with thread that doesn't perforate the...
