So far so good, actually I wore the jacket in heavy rainfall and hit it with some steam (borrowed my girlfriends steamer haha) and wore it a lot. After the steam the jacket felt a tad bit dry so I hit it with another application of conditioner.
I won't do any other things with it but wear it...
That Eastman looks to be ageing beautifully, how old is it approx? I dig the look of those collars on the Californian and the newer Highwaystar. How would you describe the leather thickness/feel of their jackets compared to Lost Worlds? Looks much lighter, right?
Beautiful, normally not into long leather jackets but this model looks great. There's one listed on eBay now, love the look of the leather they use, but not my size and way too expensive for me.
I completely recognise what your saying. For me personally, my weight fluctuates a lot I've noticed. Also I'm quite tall, I kept falling for regular sized jackets, and ones that fit really tight too. Looked horrible on me, almost gave up but this Lost worlds 42L fit's really good...
Not noticeable, actually feels lighter because of the leather softening up, but I guess it weighs a few scoops of leather cream more than it did before.
The picture above is before any treatment. More about this jacket: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/fit-pics-lost-worlds-suburban-42l-grainy-4-5-oz-fqhh.101666/
Let me begin by saying that I read a lot of advice against doing this, that the leather used by LW supposedly won't need any...
I've seen that Test jacket on your youtube, watching your video's is a moment of relaxation for me and such a great source of information and awesome jackets. I love watching people do or talk about what they love. Cheers for taking the time and putting in all of the effort!
Is the jacket...
Thanks man, I'm 1.90m (6'2). The measurements from the ad said this jacket is 25.5'' in back length with 26'' sleeves, the same as a levi's denim jacket that fit's me but barely has enough length. I was afraid this suburban would end up falling a bit shorter because of the thicker material, but...
I added fit pics in the first post. p.s. the sweatpants and the bare feet are not a fashion statement! haha @jonbuilder @dudewuttheheck @Robbie79 @red devil @tmitchell59 @Carlos840 @Hh121
p.s. until I have some fit pics for you, here is a photo of my mother rocking the Aero premier CXFQHH halfbelt I gave her :) She rode motorcycles all her life so this jacket put a huge smile on her face.
Thanks man! And for the advice too. That goes for a lot of people here on this forum, the knowledge and willingness to share is really great on here.
I didn't know it was a long size either, but the measurements HH posted matched exactly with a Levi's denim jacket that I've owned for years. But...
