Yesterday’s hat did change, to my Dobbs Milan.
Irish band gig in the park.
Today is windy and cooler, and I’m starting off with Tumwater.

Beaver Brand XXXXX quality. It is very hot here too, and getting rather humid. This hat is likely to change in a bit. I’ll be sure to let you all know if it does.

Do you play? A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with a local guy who plays dobro right up at the same level as Jerry Douglas in my opinion. What a great instrument.

I was really blown away by this guy last week. Aaron Lee Tasjan. I hadn’t heard of him before, and caught his set by accident. But I think he’s the whole package. His recordings are great, but they don’t really show his ability to solo and seriously rock a venue.
We talked hats briefly, and his...
I am in a hat-saturated mode now in my off-season (haturated?).
So I have this one now, because it is dangerously close to my holy grail hat. The only differences are the color scheme, the width of the ribbon, and the fact that this one did not belong to my grandfather, whom I never saw after i...

Thanks guys. My girlfriend has been telling me the same thing about my landscape photos lately. I think it could be fun to figure out how to print and frame some of these.

Oh man! I wish I had known this before. It was just a trip simply because I had 3 free days with no kids or gigs. I got back this morning but could have stayed another day. These drives are kind of spontaneous for me lately, but I will definitely be coming back to the area. 5 1/2 hours is a...
I think I found Fats Waller on the floor of Union Station, KC.
Also, while touring the Boulevard Brewing Company brewery, I was surprised by the Blue Angels out of nowhere. I still get giddy every time I see them, since the first time at Point Mugu when I was a kid.
I couldn’t go home...
