The denim collecting trend gained momentum the last 10-15 years.
Even Levi's has Authorized vintage collection - actually worn Levi denim that is recuperated, cleaned/mended and sold again. The prices are way higher than market average prices.
I've seen lately that there is a trend with the...
My LW NYPD in black hh is tagged as 38 and measures almost 22" chest and 18" shoulders.
Maybe these patterns are supposed to fit a bit oversized unlike cross-zips?
Hi there!
I guess there is not an exact fringed jacket model. Afaik there are several fringed jackets variations (e.g. with conchos). I have one like this. So there is no model to ruin.
Also given that the jacket is not expensive I think you won't loose much by personalizing it.

Thanks! Yes J23 is iconic, it has something that sets it apart. I have also the Trojan jacket (that screams vintage and American) but I like the J23 more. Maybe it's smth subjective.
This is how colors look under daylight. The goathide (A2) is a bit lighter(redish) brown shade than the 2 hh jackets on the right.
For color reference see the white paper.
Hello everyone,
I'm looking to buy as the title says either of:
- Lost Worlds PJ27
- Lost Worlds CHIPS
- Aero Motorcycle jacket (J-106, Indian Ranger, King of the road, Daytona, Elvis, Brando)
I am looking for size US 40/42/44.
As the marked size/pattern can vary here are the main jacket...
Hello Cornelius
Sorry for the late reply.
I have 3 russet LW (J23 early 2000s, A2 goat around 2010, B-2 of 2015). None of them has that red shade. The color is brown on each of them. There are slight variations - the later ones are more matte and a bit darker(afair). The B-2 looks like the one...
Hi Adam,
I don't know you in person and I never interacted with you except that jacket purchase. I did not make any assumption regarding your character.
Speaking about the purchase - besides replying to your questions about the item I was selling - we ended up agreeing on the shipping method...
If I would tell you that a rather regular member with hundreds of posts, tried to scam me?
I was selling an Aero Brando hh jacket. He pretended interest, sent several PMs asking more info. Next thing he asked me "Did you receive funds via paypal, I sent last night.", and to ship him the...
Hopefully the seller does the right thing and makes up for this mistake.
Although trading here looks safe, I can say from my (limited) experience that I almost got duped sometimes by not so new members. Like telling me they sent payment and to ship them the jacket.
So others, be careful, take...
Interesting subject.
Just my 2 cents. From my limited experience, online documenting.
You can use some filler as other suggested for the cosmetic part. For structural integrity, you can glue(using leather glues)/stitch a textile patch on the inside that will take tension over from the cracked...
I have a G-1 D-series, goatskin, later one with Dynal collar. I got some sheepskin to have the collar replaced. Before sending it to the shop, I disassembled it myself out of curiosity. Here is what it looks like:
To remove the "fur" part of the collar all 3 base stitching rows need to be...
Welcome!
Yes indeed unbelievable. Mines are in a similarly good shape. I wouldn't be surprised if the outer shell is a different type of hide and the inside is sheepskin. At least that's what they look in the picture.
Hi there,
V nice pants!
Judging also by the snaps(waist, cuffs) and the waist tightening band (Kanal jacket had the same one) I'd say it's at least a German flying trouser. Not sure if mil spec. Does it have any label inside?
From the design I'd say they are from the 30s perhaps. I have a pair...
I have both and the differences are:
- LW is better built overall, sheepskin is thicker(hide) more substantial, goatskin/hh trims texture is like the period ones and they are thicker. The jacket has the wow factor like the posted pics show. Impressive with the huge collar up. Fit is a bit more...
