The cord would sit much better than the leather does, which is why we don't want to continue offering this as an option. It can risk spoiling the line of the jacket.
Cord is the traditional method to stop this from happening. It is used for two reasons in particular, the cord grain is...
I'd been second guessing myself last night, but I have checked and I am indeed correct. In longer jackets it's very common for us to reinforce the lining with a 6" strip of cord, but the lining is still not attached at the hem. And you are correct in the reasoning being to do with these...
There are various reasons why our partnership with Iron Heart was axed, and really I cannot go into them on a public forum. I'm very sorry about your disappointment, but we really had no choice but to move away. If you want to drop me a line about your situation, please do and I'll see if...
Sorry, think I've got myself confused here! I'll check this and get back to you tomorrow. This is probably why I shouldn't be answering questions at 10.45pm after a hectic day ;)
Ha! Well as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. We're just very concious of not offering anything which could spoil a jacket's line, and certainly don't want to be encouraging customers to pay for extras that will do this/are unnecessary!
No typo! And actually, we have recently done a lining in cord. It hasn't been readily used as a lining since the 20s, but it's something we'll perhaps be trying in our new 20s style in a sample once we get the correct zippers in stock for it.
For a wee while now our design team have been unhappy about some of the un-necessary extras offered to customers, some, to Aero's shame, at very fancy prices too. I'm talking about things like leather lined cuffs on jackets without a proper cuff with stud or button closure, for instance. This...
Insurrection will continue to be a very important stockist to us at Aero, and we're delighted to be able to supply them with jackets more regularly.
As for the price rises, thanks to our government changing the rules re: their pension scheme slightly a company of our size will not be liable...
They were never an Aero design, and can only be bought from Vintage Flight Jackets in Germany. They've never been directly available from us, but you can still order it through them, who as always will remain a vital Aero stockist.
That was, and one that we were never particularly keen on to be quite honest. Iron Heart's products don't sit comfortably with the Aero ethos of providing classic designs that are timeless. Most of the collaboration jackets were just Aero designs with very slight modifications and oversized...
Ha, so they are! Thanks for the reminder, and do keep an eye, I'll be marking these down to half price too as soon as I get a chance, hopefully tomorrow.
No problem, that was my favourite of his designs (tho didn't it originate from a customer, possibly on here?), but it wouldn't be fair of us to continue his designs.
We can’t go into all the reasons for Will Lauder leaving but I'm sure some of you are surprised and wondering why. For some years he appeared to want to go in a different direction than the original Aero template.
We hear he plans to set up his own leather company, I assume he’ll be taking a...
Great looking jacket, so sorry about the error with the tag! Don't know how that slipped by. We don't have any goatskin tags, so we'd advise to just unpick it.
