"Parade's End" was rather wonderful. It found undercurrents of humor in the horrors of trench warfare and the collapse of Edwardian society. Very enjoyable and a nice change of pace from the usual period piece.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot of what it was like to be very young in the 1970s and I wish that I could visit then again, even if only briefly.
I spent summers in Wildwood, NJ with my grandparents who are both long gone. I have these wonderful memories of the boardwalk as it was then and...
I've been wearing them almost everyday, plain navy, royal blue, or gray with dark Brooks Brothers suits. I wear them with modern dress shirts, french cuffs, and 60s influenced suits. It's a great look.
You just need to be careful to untie them and not pull them off because they will elongate...

Warner Bros. is auctioning off the only known screen-used falcon.
I don't like logos where they don't belong, like on a sweater or a dress shirt for instance. No polo ponies for me.
However, logos on a polo shirt don't bother me. A crocodile here or there or even a polo pony wouldn't bother me there.

Jason Aldean is one of the biggest country stars out there and he wears one. Luke Bryan, his best friend and another country star doesn't. It depends on the person and the occasion.
Well, it appears that these things are like buried tires; eventually they work their way to the surface. Nothing stays hidden forever.
Great men, great women have great flaws, all around. It's interesting to hear about them, I suppose. If I were to dive in and do a full academic piece on these...

An interesting insight in Orson Welles' opinions on other actors from The Guardian found in lost tapes meant for his autobiography.
It's always interesting to hear from this over-sized personality.
If you've seen Baz Lurhman's work; say, "Romeo & Juliette" or "Mulan Rougue" then you would have to recognize that this film was pretty tame! I was expecting Gatsby to burst into song at any moment, retro-fitting pop music into the background of Gatsby's world as the players danced their way...
Just saw Star Trek Into Darkness and loved it. Some of my favorite moments in the original casts' movies took place on earth and much of this film does. There were some fun and interesting twists and turns and a very breezy pace. The 3-D effect was beautiful and a lot of fun. It's great to see...
Have you tried telephoning Barbour directly? The staff at the North American headquarters are very nice and they have a warehouse full of, well, everything Barbour.
