feltfan is correct. That sweatband is shot. The best thing to do is remove it and store it in a ziplok bag before it deteriorates any further.
A new sweatband can be installed by any reputable hatter and need not affect the fit of the hat if you have the hat cleaned and...

As far as vintage hats are concerned, I find that swaps/trades are as liberating as selling. And... the trade doesn't necessarily have to be a hat(s) for a hat(s).
The same goes for books, clothing, fishing tackle, firearms, etc.
It's all good.
