There are three weights in the tartans the reiver being the thin one, personally I think this is no warmer than the drill, in fact the drill which they would use to line the sleeves seems to be slightly brushed and possibly even warmer, I think if you opt for no storm cuffs the FQHH and a reiver...
Very nice jacket, beautiful grain! on the collar problem you could always wear it every day for a couple of months with the collar turned up and during that time totally refrain from washing your neck! the wife may complain but I'm sure the collar would darken up a shade! he he

For all you Guys in the US I've just spotted "Bench and Loom" have Aero 1930's Cossack jackets in their sale section for $650, an excellent price when the jacket retails for £620 in the UK.

No need to worry if Will measured you, the jacket will come exactly as you requested it! he did the same with my custom Stockman and I was delighted with it, also the riever tartan is an excellent choice of lining as it's not at all warm meaning you can wear the jacket well into the warmer...
Not in my experience, I've done it a couple of times to get measured then you have to wait, you do not skip the usual waiting time, however you can look at the various hides and tell them exactly the type you would like(for my last one I picked a brown FQHH, and specified I wanted the shiny...
I've never had any problems from my Aero brown FQHH and I generally wear white shirts with the jacket collar turned partially up, even after being out in torrential rain there has never been any staining, my car has black leather seats so I can't comment on those!

For my last Aero I went up and was measured by Will, he told me I had long arms and he said he would lengthen the sleeves by 1 1/2 " to make them 27" they fit exactly like HD's in the pic's, bear in mind that they do ride up about 1" when they get wrinkly, also remember if the sleeves...
Good to know! I believe they have an annual Kudu cull so maybe they will try to get a stock of this hide, judging by how quickly they sold the samples I think there would be good sales on these, although it may be intermittent with hide supplies coinciding with the cull!
