Why would you order a standard jacket through a third party when living in the UK if it wasn't off the shelf? seems like asking for trouble to me(no offence intended), also remember this jacket will last a lifetime and at 30 you'll be one of Aeros younger customers, you will have many years to...
Mark,
I have an Aero B6 and can tell you that they are a lot tougher than you would think, not as tough as a B3 or ANJ4 because of the lack of horse panels but similar to an Irvin, I love Irvins and had one prior to the B6 but found that I could not wear it except on the very coldest days...
I have an Aero B6 and find it an excellent jacket, maybe not as historically accurate as an Eastman whose fleece I found was too thin for my liking and needs, the zip closers although you may not like the look of them, work extremely well in pulling the jacket in and don't make it look look...

For sweaters Souwestchunkies take some beating, they produce excellent quality hand knitted fishermens sweaters at an unbelievable price and will ship anywhere in the world all are custom made, and Peter is a great guy to deal with!

If Aero was originally mentioned that is the route I would have taken!
HD if you remember the Ali Dunn fight, Dunn started like a world beater but by the knockout about round 5 was hopelessly outclassed.

Heard an old Les Dawson one yesterday it goes;
Every year the mother in law comes round for Christmas Dinner,
we're going to have a change this year,
we'll let her in!
Just remember the tartans are available in three different weights, If you don't specify you get the lightest weight, which if you are west coast may be best!
D
It depends which of the tartan weights you choose! there are 3 different weights and the lightest (Reiver) as Butte says is not a warm lining ,very little difference to the cotton but of a nicer appearance and a choice of over 500 different patterns, leather in itself is not warm, I personally...
