    What are important things to look for when evaluating the condition of a used jacket?

    Bad smells and cracked leather. Cracked leather anywhere on the jacket is a deal breaker. Bad smells from the liner if all else is excellent can be worked with sometimes.

    I never was one to pay attention to stitching. This thread got me interested and since I have owned three Himel's, I just checked my brown oil tanned Kensington. The stitching looks good to my eyes.
