Yes, this jacket is a Cal. "Hard on Leather" was a shop that sold and repaired leather & kink stuff. When they made arrangements, they used to replace the original label with theirs.
My advice: if you like this jacket, and it might fit you... go for it. You won't regret.
I received this Schott 613 yesterday! A cool sensation wearing this brown steerhide jacket. As I said, my first Schott ever. I found it for a steal and took, so how can I not? I’m still amazed by all these great jackets for sale which are "unknown" and sold for very few. Interesting how a piece...
In all honesty, I only guess it's a Taubers judging by:
- the three snaps on the back of the collar.
- the chest pocket.
- double stitching along the waistband (more seen in older ones).
- the size of this vanished label fits with Taubers'.
However, there are two details I can't relate to this...
I spotted this jacket and I immediately loved it.
Despite no labels, this Schott is coming to my home. In fact, the first Schott I'll ever own. No stars on epaulettes anymore, but remain the marks. Talon zipper, ring pulls on pockets and plain snaps.
True! @Al 916 I remember your jacket 'cause I found a Branded like yours this summer. I should study the difference between these two makers, I find their jackets very similar.
