That brown is just nice and so rich in color, a proper medium brown for sure.
Got it, just wished they offered that hide for the Mulholland. I'll get one for sure lol
I'm appreciating the reddish brown colors more and excited to see how your jacket develops.
The remake of my FL modified J24 is almost complete. Greg made a mock up of the detachable mouton collar, he hasn't made one before so he is working out the most optimal placement of the snap buttons so it's easy on the eyes and will meet his standard. I haven't even received the jacket but I...
That shade of brown is so beautiful, sleeve creases are on point. How is the shinki used on the caboose compare to the mulholland in terms of weight/feel?
Can't wait to see your new FW Bodie, that's such a cool pattern.
Leather is so good here, i thought that my black Maryam horse butt Truman service boot/Onderhoud engineer was thick but the leather uses for the motor dress engineer makes those feel midweight. Looks like a yearly offering, I was told if I don't order for this years batch then the next restock...
Thanks man! I have liked the look of them from when I first saw them earlier this year and your recent engineer list just steered me more to go for it. I agree that it's quite a good deal, the leather alone is worth it and then you add the construction/design/last they use then it's definitely...
Don't be worried with the fit on the mock up jacket too much, he doesn't dwell a lot of time on making them. Note all the details once he gets to your order, he is still a one man opearatjon and can only focus on certain projects that is at hand. The completion time might take longer than...
I know I'm comparing brave star jeans vs IH denim jacket but the IH trucker jacket I have is not scratchy/cardboardy and it's not unpleasant to wear at all. I don't mind wearing that unwashed and wearing it for long periods of time at all
That's a great way of putting it, really depends on how you wear them.
Same here, I don't use them for work so my jeans rarely get dirty so I'll wait a good while (6 months) to wash the lighter weight jeans.
Noted, the "quite awhile" works for me since I don't wear jeans on a daily basis. I might give the black 21oz brave star a wash after my local tailor hems it so it's not so scratchy. I hope you'll like your incoming IH jeans, I have a 21oz IH trucker and it's a big difference in quality with the...
I dread wearing the 21oz brave star jeans that I got lol I dont think I'll get anything over than 20oz next time I get a pair. I also did get the 15oz cone mills in a slim straight cut and that's much more tolerable.
That's what's nice with buttons lol you can leave the top button alone and...
I know man I feel we made the right choice in picking the best hide they currently offer so good job to us. @JCSD is also having a MTO jacket out of this hide. Can't wait to see the both of your jackets here soon enough. I'll post close up photos of the hide when I get the jacket.
Yes they put...
I haven't handled blattwerk from SB but I have a JL Masaye. The Masaye is lighter/thinner/softer than my FL/FW shinki, the JL Masaye is also black overdyed for an added sheen so I guess you can say it has a matted finish when the top layer of paint wears off. It's nice to wear and very easy/comfy.
