The one on the left and middle is tochigi cowhide and the one on the back is brown pony. They are size 40 test jackets and Greg will be offering them for sale later on.
I had two jackets trimmed from chest down to the hem and both came out well. I have a couple of Cal needing work that I'll take to JL next time I visit.
The collar looks great as how you wear it, I'm on the opposite end of that collar preference. I always like it kinda smiling lol
I have not worn this Seal Vermont yet but it should be a real midweight. I believe it's around 2-2.5oz. This particular batch I was shown had a slightly shiny finish, a little pull up, some red undertones, soft hand, it's not dyed all the way through so some teacore might show after some time. I...
Incoming Horween Seal Vermont French Cyclist/German Flyer with Riri zips, awaiting for JL to fit in a detachable cream colored mouton collar with buttons for securement. I haven't seen JL make a detachable collar with buttons before so it will be interesting to see how they go on about doing it...
Definitely nice and it should look so good when the brass patina' s and the teacore shows through. Ahh I remember now, I forgot that you have that new blackened brown J24!
That's my next up too lol with brass hardware! I'll ask Greg to make the back design and the belt removable like that...
@marker2037 love the classic j24 look with added flair on the sleeves, the brass on black leather is a perfect combo, just an awesome classy build. Congrats man!
*now you need a brown jacket counterpart
Brown CXL looks good, the fit will be much better once that leather relaxes and breaks in. I would like to recommend to shape the collar with a hot water treatment, the collar has plenty of potential.
It's my most broken in pair of boots, too bad it doesn't have a leather midsole that would have made this so much better and more comfy. Agreed it's definitely easy to own, literally no effort with its care.
happy break in man, that looks like an actual task. I also went ahead and purchased the 18oz true straight brave star, I hope I can fit an engineer boot with it
If you request for it, he just might agree to make a one off piece for you since Greg might be interested to work with other leather aside from shinki/Badalassi. Although you may need to pay a little extra for it since he won't buy the leather in bulk,
A natural unfinished hide will look stunning after extended wear and exposure to the elements especially if you don't have a lot of jackets to rotate. Keep in mind that details such as epaulettes/shoulder gussets/full action backs/belt loops/attached belt will have a lighter uneven tanning due...
That's so true on the ball & chain pull on the pockets, it's nice to look at but fragile. The pull on the chest pocket on mine is already broken.
Wisdom huh lol
I like the midweight flannel lining on this, it's comfy and not too warm but it can color bleed a little when wet.
It feels like it's a size 8 so it's easier to use than the #5 hookless Aero uses and definitely feels more secure. Can you possibly share the manual/illustrations that came with...
Thank you! It will be trimmer in the waist/hem so I hope it's not too tight there lol but still not as trim as the five star light deerskin so I'm hopeful!
Thanks man. The project was in great hands. Greg was eager to tackle the design changes with how to make them blend in to one pattern and...
Wow, that's so good @Tom71 and it looks great with just a shirt underneath but atleast you can wear a jumper/hoodie for the cold season. I got to say maybe it's just one of those patterns that works well with most body shapes/height. You can also appreciate how good the range of motion on this...
