Nah, they feel just about right, and I have longish arms. About the same as my other Vansons, mostly size 44. Around the curve it's right about 25". It's a tough one to measure!
It pains me to sell this one, but it's a little smaller than I'd like, and I'm just not wearing it. In great shape, no odors, etc. Nice thick old school Vanson comp weight leather. Measurements in photos. If you have questions, or need more images, just ask. Looking to get $555 shipped in...
Looking at getting rid of a couple jackets that I don't wear. First up is this Legendary Horsehide motorcycle jacket. I'm not sure what the model is, but it's not the more common Black Stallion. I'm fairly sure it's one that's made by Schott, appears to be the same horsehide, and the same...
The roma leather is definitely thinner than the comp weight. It reminds me a lot of Schotts naked cowhide. Substantial, but I'd much prefer the thicker comp weight in a slide. As jacketjunkie said, they do have other brown leathers available, but they aren't fancy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging Meindl at all. I've owned them, and they were quite nice. The only gripe with mine was the soles didn't last very long. You might even want to look at their Perfect, or Super Perfect boots. Both classic stitchdown hiking boots, and can be had for a lot...
I've really only noticed the weight on longer hikes, with a lot of elevation changes. But, I thought the exact same thing you did, having worn PNW boots for quite some time. If your experience is like mine I bet you'll end up with a wide 13.
Also, do note that there are two different types of...
I have a pair of Limmer standards that I've had for about 5 months now. My girlfriend and I drove up to New Hampshire last summer and got fitted. She's an avid hiker, and I mostly just spend a lot of time in the woods, building and maintaining trails, and walking my dog. I'm pretty happy with...
