It’ll be interesting how the ‘newer’ leathers such as Vicenza will behave in comparison to the classics, unfortunately the key word being ‘new’ and only time will tell how they naturally age, though the general consensus seems to be this leather definitely resists giving away how many birthday...
Good choice, this has been recommended to me by Denny on both jackets that’s I’ve had from Aero however I went for full drill and didn’t find it an issue as I wear short sleeve shirts often.
;)

Go for olive drill lining if you want a plain interior. I know there’s the option of sateen and it’s all down to personal preference. If you want a smooth ‘silk’ lining then go with sateen as I’m under the impression there’s little (if any) difference in durability.
The Sheene is a very nice...
Main preference goes to zip in the seam like the zip highwayman is due mostly to aesthetic purposes, to me having the zip in the board racer position just looks odd in my opinion. I’m sure there’s a practical reason for having the zip on top of the wrist as my Alpinestars riding jacket has it in...
Good morning @handymike, the chest pocket is straight. Admittedly it does looks angled in these pictures but it sits straight when worn.
I also forgot to mention that the jacket comes with the original tag and envelope stating its production number for traceability with Aero.
Evening All,
For sale is my 2.5 month old Aero Leather Premier Highwayman in Blackened Brown Vicenza. The jacket is in immaculate condition with minor wear and creasing evident and benefits from the sleeves being zipped and the lining being a Black Stewart Lochcarron lining that suits this...
Guten Abend Herresbach!
You sound almost exactly in the position I found myself in circa 5 months ago. I originally owned an Aero Board Racer in brown FQHH and parted ways with it on the grounds of me not finding it particularly ideal for daily use, I was convinced it was due to the slim fit...
The general consensus I noted was that either have both internal & external kidney panels, or have neither for the above mentions issues. It’ll probably take longer to show through on a looser fitting jacket but if it’s very trim then it won’t take long before a horizontal line is visible.
It took me two jackets to come to terms with the fact that both my preference & patience are not compatible with CXL FQHH. I had a Board Racer made out of it that I didn’t gel with because I thought it was the design so I ended up part exchanging it against a Premier Highwayman in blackened...
Both fair comments but I'll stick to my guns, this is only a small niggle and isn't ruining the experience of owning the jacket for me but may prove useful to anyone looking to order it from Aero.
If it does become an issue in the future then I'll look at potential modifications such as having...
Evening once again Men & Madams,
This is just a follow up to the initial thread opener that I posted just over 3 weeks ago with the intention of giving an update on the PHWM and how it has started to break in. I've been wearing the jacket almost every day less the time spent in work due to...
Essentially what handymike said.
They do look really cool and are a throwback to different times but it all depends on you and your preferences. For me I know I’m too lazy and absent minded at times to warrant the risk of wrecking the zip because I paid about as much attention as I do when...
I did try on the regular Highwayman during my first visit and it didn’t work with my string bean physique, it looks far better on people with broad shoulders.
Precisely, the freedom of customisation along with the price of the product makes the customer want to ensure they get it right but this means headache opportunities for the manufacturer.
I can safely say my next purchase will be much more straight forward with a simple case of “does the size...
Evening gents & ladies,
This is just a post to give credit to my experience with the team @ Aero Leather and the ups and downs of this journey. To give a transparent background of the entire story, I'll explain the 6 month history I have with the company and the certainty that I'll wish to...
The basic premise is all down to your own personal preference.
If you’re always mindful of aligning the zip every time you use it then no problem, however if you’re more like me and have ‘deadhead’ moments where you’re not 100% paying attention and/or easily distracted then probably advisable...
