I thought turning 50 would bring me a newfound sense of decorum, maturity and a taciturn reserve. Yet here I am taking dodgy photos of myself trying to look like a 25 year old rock star :D
I'm 6'0, chest 38" and waist 32" ... but with a 30" inseam. If I am wearing an untucked shirt, obviously waist doesn't matter and that is my excuse for so many awfully fitting jeans over the past decade.
I used to buy 38L sports coats in order to get the button stance right on the ubiquitous...
I’m right there with you. It took me a long time to learn how to dress for my top-heavy body. As much as a like slim-straight jeans on other people, they are not for me. Even moreso, low-rise pants are objectively awful on me.
For sure. Having received my ‘European fit’, I am genuinely curious how a ‘tight fit’ could be any slimmer. At most, I think I can pinch about an inch of excess fabric high in the chest. I suppose the arms could be just a little slimmer, but not much more without restricting movement.
I’ll...
Interesting. I has assumed I would be a 38T and was surprised when he fit me to the European/standard 38. Further back in this thread is the full size charts for both. I assumed Rip went for standard 38 with me because of the wider shoulders.
My final order form stated 11cm off the hem but I...
Have you tried Gap? They did a leather bootcut jean in black and in brown, in the early 00's. Prices on eBay are all fairly low and the pictures show some nice looking leather.
Yep, now Rip will tell you their recommendation. You can provide the measurements you were thinking of and see what the difference is, then discuss what you want.
The final step is when you get a work order written up that you reply to saying you are happy to proceed to manufacturing.
it’s customizable, though as others have said I think they sort of advise you towards a ‘house fit’. Rip was fine with me slimming the opening, but didn’t seem too keen on me going any shorter in the body.
They are good at working with body measurements, but really that just generates an...
I dunno, man. I think you have about 10-11 parameters to adjust. I chose the exact dimensions down to the cm. At one point Rip and I were going back and forth discussing two cm on the chest and whether to take 10 or 15mm off the shoulders. Mine is based off a stock 38, with 11cm off the opening...
I know I've said I'm done with buying jackets now ... but if I were to get one more, it would be a black J100 and of all that I have seen, the RMC is my favorite. This looks perfect on you!
