I love this forum as it let me make friends from all over the world lol.
navetsea,
If I can ask your expert advice, as I'm new to this and I'm really interested in getting some of the stuff you've recommended.
I don't care much for brands, so long a it fits well, is of really good quality...
I too love the stuff from aero but I have rather a tough time getting stuff off the shelf as I'm in between sizes, have long arms, height arching neck and skinny arms... Sigh.
Virtually every shirt I have has folds around my neck cos of my neck and when I get the shoulders to fit the sleeves...
It's likely the former as I don't see any evidence of labels sewed on in the first place. But I'm happy cos regardless of what it is, I can happily alter it and wear it without babying it. The materials are awesome and it'll super heavyweight!
The Japanese stuff will always be very...
Thanks navetsea,
That explains a lot and it surely make it easier for me to alter it :)
!
Either way I'm going to enjoy this jacket and wear it to death lol!
Cheers
Hey Edward,
I hear you and having a nice jacket to use is much better than having it the storeroom being mothballed.
Other than the buttons there isn't any tags or labels so I doubt it has much provenance. If it is a samurai it's going to be a samurai that fits me lol.
Here's some info on...
Thanks Edward,
Fact is I'm not totally sure what I got and if it's a genuine Samurai I'll be super interested in which year this was made as I can't find any info of when such buttons were used as these are usually found on jeans and not the jackets.
Another dilemma I'm having is, I want to...

Her reply was they don't have measurements of the sleeve or cuff width and I'll have choose those jackets mentioned earlier if I wanted slimmer sleeves or cut. This is very strange as I'm sure they have all the measurements once I have...
I chanced upon a vintage jacket and demin shop today and took a gamble on this SGD $40 OR USD $28.5 denim jacket.
The label was missing and so was any identifying tags.
The only clue I had was the button.
A Google search and I found out its from a Co called Samurai... I think...
I don't know where this is going lol but the Japanese are for a lack of a better term a rather precise bunch.
That's not to say the British, Italians or anyone else aren't able to produce high quality gear.
I won't delve too much into this but I'm pretty sure a Langlitz, is as good as it...
I may not have the budget for a full custom as this would be my first real jacket. I told him that as I haven't a clue what I really want in a jacket yet, I might get a 2nd hand off the bay so I know better what I want in a travel jacket before contacting him again sometime next year.
I also...
Dan,
I too mailed Holly my measurements however, I was told they don't do bespoke jackets and won't alter the sleeves.
My concern is I have thin arms and if the if the arms don't fit well it'll be like having a flapping flag for a sleeve.
She did say that the Premier Highwayman and Half Belt...
