In fact, it seems like I've made it onto a leather jacket manufacturer's order page for the first time. Well, if you present yourself in social media (insta etc.) you have to expect something like that. But they should have asked me before :)
You are absolutely right, I thought I had thought of everything and in the end had to find out that it wasn't like that. Of course, I could now order a jacket that takes all these small flaws into account, but I won't do that. For me it's good the way it is with my D-Pocket, I have neither the...
@chollie As a little tip: If you have in mind to order a D-Pocket from 5* make sure you give them exact position of chest zipper (I forgot :(). Compared to my jacket, lower and closer to the corner of the d-pocket. The angle of the right outside pocket should angulated more to the front, the...
Excellent post, you couldn't have said it better and got to the point! Perfect :)
Another Eetail between the ELMC and the FiveStar is the angle of the right side Pocket. With the ELMC it is perfect with the FiveStar I can hardly take anything out of the bag because it is too vertical. And other...
What bothers me about the ELMC is the tight cuff opening when zipped. I have very slim wrists but I can hardly zip the Jacket properly. The cuff opening is just 3.55" (9 cm) when zipped!
All good my friend, absolutely no problem and I can follow your explanations... I just wanted to avoid that the overview gets lost quickly with such steps and the whole thing becomes confusing.
Good eye @Marc mndt
I ordered a back length of 61 cm with a front drop of 2.5 cm from FiveStar. Actually the back length is 62 cm with a front drop of 1.5 cm. The ELMC has a back length of 60 cm and a front drop of ~2 cm. These 2 cm do make a difference, less so when wearing the jacket every...
I'm with you on the positioning of the horizontal zipper. With regard to the slope of the d pocket, the situation is different. There are many examples where the D-pocket zipper is not parallel with the main zipper. Edit: But there were also examples with parallel zippers as well.
Leathertogs...
Absolutely I am with you!
I see it the same way, the veg tan Horsehide leather is really exceptionally beautiful. With the FiveStar, the price-performance ratio in terms of Leather is absolutely right. I also no longer have any of the previous FiveStar Jackets I ordered. But that was my own...
You have a very good eye! Also your comment about the special touch on the cuff shows your eye for details. The FiveStar does feel like a Vanson or Cal (although cut a bit longer). Very comfortable and perfect for motorcycling. The eastman is without a doubt also a niche one, but for me it...
I got an idea for a new thread: It's often difficult to choose one jacket or the other. That's why I opened a new thread with a side-by-side comparison of two Leather Jackets with the possibility for the Forum Members to contribute their inputs. Of course, the quality, the price, the appearance...
To be honest, two things. Why these questions if you're not new to Five Star Leather, why not ask Shawn directly and why start a new thread, we already have a Five Star thread where your questions would be better off...
I am 5'11" (180cm) 174 lbs atm (79 kg) by 40" (100 cm) chest and 35" waist and belly circumference (90 cm) by 32-34“ jeans waist size depending on model…
