The size table was accurate for mine, I have a 43 inch chest and went with a large, which is marked as 44. I wore it a lot last year and it still looks new, it’s the best jumper I have. It’s from a ship’s chandler as well, so I can smoke my pipe and pretend I’m a fisherman, yarr foul weather...
Thanks, it was a good score, old comp weight with the belt and mouton. It even has the two marks of a genuine vintage leather jacket: a slight pong and a paint stain.
I have an original (from 1967 or so) in kersey and a Schott 740n in melton. The original is the more impressive coat, the quality is very high and it's hard to imagine so many being made so quickly at such high standard, it couldn't happen these days. On the other hand I wear the Schott more...

You should get one, there's so much leather in it, leather folded over leather, and the all brass hardware is very nice. I can see why they charge extra over most of their other jackets.
