Depends on the finish on the leather. Some leathers have a resistant finish. You could try a small area with dye or just lightly rub a bit of acetone and then try the dye.- Drzdave58

A small amount of slip is normal. I have 2 pairs. The slippage seems to lessen as the boots get worn in. It can be controlled by the thickness of your socks. I have particular socks that I wear with each pair.- Drzdave58

Whe when I sell an item for a significant amount of $$$ i always go the extra distance too put the buyers mind at ease with the transaction and to assure them the deal is legitimate.
