It turned chilly again so looks like I'm going to have a few more chances to wear this jacket. Seems like it has a little reddish tint to the brown, to my eye.
Just received this HH jacket a little while ago. No maker tag in the jacket but maybe someone more knowledgeable that I can shed some light. Anyway, here it is.
Edit: I found a couple little tags in then lower pockets. No idea if useful for ID purposes.
Honestly, it's all about the measurements and pictures and instructions that you give them. If you are super-super-super detailed and thorough, you will likely get a great end result. IF you leave anything, and I mean anything, to chance, you may well be sad at the outcome. Good luck.
Can anyone identify this jacket as to maker, age, etc? I'm guessing it is sort of an Hercules style jacket but with no label, and the way the HH tag is stitched on the side of the interior, just not sure if it's a FrankenJacket or what.
Looks pretty good but personally, I’d likely be more comfortable one size larger. I prefer to be able to layer a bit underneath. Also, how does the jacket feel when sitting and/or driving?
It's those little details that can sour a jacket for sure. Some of the people here know how to order jackets from 5* and know just what to ask for to avoid those sorts of things. Many of us do not, unfortunately. The 5* builders are, in my humble opinion, simply assemblers of jackets. They are...
Cool. Yeah, that one that you used for inspiration (link you supplied) is the original one that I spec'd. It was sooo squeaky.
I'd appreciate it if you would share your tweaks. I think your jacket looks better than the original. Hopefully, the smell will fade out soon. I've seen various methods...
Great looking jacket! Is it squeaky? I had one from 5* in steerhide and it was so relentlessly squeaky, I donated it. Couldn't stand it and my wife really hated it.
Was this jacket you just received based on one on their site with customizations or one of your own "originals"? Thanks!
Because, in my experience, posting a random question like this in the megathread may not get any response at all as things sometimes move on quickly and questions may or may not be answered. Second, asking Shawn, also in my experience, is hit or miss due to language barriers, delays (of days)...
LOL. For my size, plus shipping would be closer to $250. I've already taken a few shots with them and had mixed results. Prefer to go in armed with all the knowledge I can get.

Looking to see if anyone has direct experience with this one. Any pro's/con's to the pattern or cut that 5* uses? Anything I should know or be considering when (if)...
Are the acrylic storm cuffs just not holding up or not warm enough? I have a jacket of theirs with a wool lining. Is there a wool option for storm cuffs that is soft vs the (perhaps) "tougher" one used for linings? Nice looking jacket, btw. Thanks
Not necessarily new. I've been looking online at the LW website and also watching for used as well. I don't really want to spend for the new, to be honest nor deal with the potential hassles that I've read about here.
Thanks
