LOL! Thanks! I'll be pulling that LW out soon as well. I haven't worn that much lately - too many jackets in the rotation, especially as half the time I seem to be in hot places like Southeast Asia and the plains of India, when it's definitely NOT jacket weather most of the year!
Wearing the Thedi padded cafe racer as a "leather shirt." Once again, pulling it on at the start of the day felt like a tight fit, especially arm holes and upper arm, but by the time I hit the road all was well. Pics taken in the evening - sunflowers & marigold flowers in the background, Autumn...
THIS!!! WOW!!! My wife saw one of your earlier pics with this jacket on Thurston Bros IG page and gave me the green light to get this exact same jacket - same style, same color. Now I only need to line up the discretionary funds, LOL!
I try brother, not always easy though. Work's been keeping me super busy lately, like it's been almost a year since I've been out for a multi-day motorcycle trip - and I'm a member of a MC club here! Boy, life is hard, LOL!
Yes, that is the ideal situation, reality is more difficult as the leadership has to play a delicate balancing act between maintaining ancient traditions and allowing 21st century influences selectively - the country moved from the medieval age to modern only in the last 20-30 years or so. It's...
After his wife passed away a few years ago my uncle bought a winter house in Sarasota, FL. Then last year he moved full-time there from Westchester, NY, where he had lived for almost 45 years. Earlier this year he suffered a stroke that has left him wheelchair-bound. He doesn't have kids so I'm...
Weekend ride, and yet again another Vanson day! Wearing my Chopper jacket with Knox armored shirt underneath. This is a beast of a jacket and I need to wear it way more often to fully break it in.
Jacket is from Thurston Bros.

Exact same thing happened to me. I had broken the zipper pull of my Aero cafe racer, mentioned it in passing in one of the threads here (probably this same one), next thing somebody from Aero contacted me and sent several replacement zipper pulls halfway round the world at no cost to me. Now...
Today took out the Vanson armored AR3/America custom for weekend ride. Got caught in torrential downpour on the way back, Vanson's super thick comp-weight leather shrugged it off, no problem. Actually I had a rain jacket but decided to give the Vanson a soaking as it needs more breaking in, glad...
That's an awesome jacket, looks great on your friend. Good for you! I too have handed over some lesser-worn leather jackets to friends - and it feels good to see these jackets being appreciated and worn hard.
Awesome jacket, fits you well, looking good, goes so well with your old boxer-twin. WIN situation all around! Oh, and my brown CXL FQHH cafe racer shrugs off rain with no issue.
That Beck repro is a seriously nice jacket! Yes, I'm liking my Comet more and more every time I wear it, wouldn't have minded shoulder gussets on it though. Also, I'll probably get myself a Vanson Model B eventually, can't justify it right now. And yeah, I've been paying closer attention to the...
Superb! These two jackets would solve my CR-conundrum, go for two-pockets or four-pockets Really nice! I find myself eyeing those old Brooks leather jackets that show up on the Bay all the time, always hold off saying I'll wait for the rarer Beck, Cal, ABC, Brimaco ... maybe I should grab myself...
Thank you. This is a size 42. From bottom of collar to bottom, back length is about 25.5 inches. Insurrection is listing this size as having a 26.25" back length. I did buy this jacket from a lounger a year or two ago, so don't know how much older it is.
