I purchased a timberline that was ordered by previous owner, extra long in torso. Took it to Langlitz to have cropped down 2”. They didn’t want to do?
Took to local leather shop and had done. Didn’t cost too much and turned out well. Only thing that keeps me from saying turned out great was...
I like this idea. I saw a pocket on a Redwing work boot and liked the idea to carry a knife. So, I grabbed my vintage Chippewa engineer boots, I use for riding the Harley and added a Skinner Knife to the to the adjustable calf strap.
Bought this used off original owner. Was custom ordered long in torso as original owner was not a biker.
Had a leather shop shorten torso length 1.5” and added two way main zipper.
Langlitz added back pinstripes for trimer fit.
My thoughts as of late:
Langlitz medium weight leather is very...
Here’s some of my Filson wool outerwear. From left to right, grey work/chore coat? Limited blue double Mac, limited green single Mac collaboration, limited grey single Mac, limited black/grey cape, vintage garage sale red, double Mac in green.
Here’s a rare one in my collection of Filson. I fit tried it on at The Filson outlet and have never taken out of box since. Too nice to wear?

So, what to do?
I questioned my 30 something yrs. old kids who said I should go and get the latest edition I-pad.
So, I spend $1400. For one with all the gadgets.
Now, I get my unwanted ads at a tolerable speed, such...

I've made it to Langlitz today.
On the phone Bennie said he'd seen pretty much everything in custom mods.
When I took this there he said this was a new one for him.
Said it was a late 50's early 60's. Called it a Cascade with very high pockets.
Looks like it was a lace up that was modified...
I thought this would be a good place to record my just purchased Langlitz jacket. Doesn't fit me but a piece textile art.
Measures shoulders 19.5" pit to pit 20.5" waist 17" back length 25"
arms 25.5"
I'm 6'2" and fits in shoulders and arms but 2"-3" too tight to zip up.
I don't think it was...
Picked this Langlitz up today. Too small for me but very interesting design. Kind of a Death's Head straight zip thing going on. Just too cool to pass on for the price.
When you can remember the small pox and rubella shot they gave you in elementary school.
I have to point out when telling the story.
It was one machine they used it on everyone.
We all lined up and got the inoculation sharing the same dispensing device.

Let's have a place where you can show your success and failures in the search for the right Langlitz jackets.
Here's a couple of mine to start this out.
Pictures are the first try on, from a few years ago.
Timberline in goat.

Both measured at Langlitz for riding...
