Scandium is NOT an alloy but an element of the group of transistion metals, with atomic number 21, also called a rare earth metal. I just now spotted this thread. There were so many good singers and songs from that era, that I propably now at age 75, being born just after the war ended, like the music of that era better than any. Overall my favorite singer is Vera Lynn, and the song is "Until it's time for you to go"... -

Yes, and very light weight. I have a little J frame revolver, Model 342 I think, hammerless, double action only, titanium cylinder, It's so light it hurts to shoot with standard 38 loads.- jkingrph

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?
If I go out today it will be an insulated wool cap with pull down ear flaps. We woke up to -1 here in E Texas, about 100 miles east and a little south of Dallas. Been here 42 years and have never seen it this cold. -

I think that is just a list of what they sell. I know for a fact that the Federation , Federation Deluxe and Federation IV are still available, but now shown on that list. -

Akubra Federation IV in carbon gray. Seems as though I have a lot of brown, light tan, silverbelly, and light gray, but no mid gray tones. -

Really like that one in that color, but alas, they no longer make it. I ended up ordering a Federation IV in the Carbon Gray, slightly narrower brim and un bound. wish it were bound but it is what it is. I considered a Stylemaster, but the brim in 1/4" narrower the only plus being bound... -

Nothing so far today, sitting here playing on the computer, waiting for it to warm up to milder, supposed to be mid to upper 50's today. Yesterday the wife and I went shopping and I wore the Akubra Kentucky Rancher in lignt sand, got a few nice comments. -

I have an old, 1920's vintage Husqvarna hammergun. It's slim and trim, looks and handles like one of the high quallity British game guns, but at a much lower cost. I got it about ten years ago from Simpsons for about $300.- jkingrph

Lawn care-oldschool reel mower, anyone?
Your grandfather would "incest"??? I tried using one a time or two when I was very young, Dad had it and mowed our yard with it until he had saved up enough to get a power mower. I did not know that. I had an uncle who was a Senior Master Sargent in the USAF. He went to VN in the mid 60's, early part and carried a .357 revolver. At that time individuals, at least those with some rank could carry their personnel weapons without any problem. He sold it over there...- jkingrph

What to wear with a fedora....
I never wear t shirts or any longer wear jeans. Most casual is a Polo shirt, always something with a collar, pants will either be casual dress like Dockers, or more casual cargo or tactical type pants. Before I was retired it was dress slacks and shirt, necktie and sport coat, or dress vest... -
