Older guys in old bike jackets sort of mix ok. You don't get many youngsters drooling over an old Triton, or even a modern version when a near 200mph Suzuki GSX R or whatever is available. A bit like the kids in the 1960s really, except in those days if you had the licence and the money you...
They are just like any other youth cult. Teds grew up and started families so onto the next set of teenagers and cheap motorbikes were the thing. Old A10s and Triumphs, some cobbled together to build Cafe racers others just standard with a set of clip ons. Only the well off owned a new Rocket...
A great experience and thanks for sharing the story. A bit expensive for 20 mins but what the heck, you only live once and opportunities like this don't happen everyday.
I would love to go up in an old warbird, especially an old WWI biplane, WWII Lancaster, B24 or a a Vietnam era F4 Phantom.
In my opinion it depends on the look of the jacket/coat in question. An Aero teamster does not work for me with a zipper though a Highwayman could with some alterations to the frontal design, work with buttons. Coat designs tend to look better with buttons to me, especially the older designs...
This 'Barnstormer' looks as near as vintage leather can get to Aero's Blizzard coat with internal waist coat.

Hi and welcome.
Depending on a persons preferences, style and personality as the basics I would try some of these.
If you yourself are a little flamboyant maybe a dashing semi naked maiden with lots of colour, maybe your country's flag in the background? Renditions can be super detailed or...
Great jacket and fit. Nice to see poses without the phone in the way ;) BUT YOU FORGOT THE ZOMBIE STRANGLE HOLD selfie ;) (yes I was shouting:D)
Teamster is my favourite to go to jacket at the moment.
There should be a law that when McDonalds/Burger King etc applies to use a beautiful building such as this, they should be put on hold until further enquiries at a reduced rent be considered.
Better than pulling it down though.
Yes I guess it can depend on the industry but I still think an executive officer type should dress as a manager. Old guys in a denim jackets at a business meeting just would not look right in my mind. Sunday out for fun? Yes, walking the dog etc yes all the way. personally I don't believe in...
Write(email) to them. They may be able to offer a remedy/alternative buttons? I had a football come away from my Teamster and Aero replied very promptly with a new button.
When I first read the topic title Levi's Smart Jacket, for some reason I thought they had gone into the three piece suit business. So, a man sitting in a denim jacket got to me(I still had not read the feature yet) because no matter how 'cool' denim can look, no way would I wear it to a business...
I love it, it gives the jacket a character even if it is fairly new, though I have only had it form on rarely used items with brass/bronze fittings. Regular use, zipping and un zipping of course, won't allow it to form on the teeth. There is some on my old(well, Kens really ;) ) Battersea...
It was not the practicality of those side zips, they probably do a good job, it's just the look of them that bothers me.
I knew you would say that, I would have bet a weeks wages in fact :D
As already said. Cowboys of the Sky, basically a catalogue of Avirex A2 and B3 style jackets. Some history but not much. the jackets featured a nearly all have back seams despite being painted and hand warmer pockets.
But as our friend HanauMan said some like them so no problems with that.
Hell...
I would always expect to loose money selling on a fairly new jacket. You come across it all the time "Broken in so you don't have to do it yourself" always amazes me. By defining the so called 'Vintage' jackets a 20 year old Highwayman, personally I would class in the fairly new, while a 35 year...
I do know of one manufacturer who bought an original wartime A2, took the whole thing apart and worked from there to make what other manufactures thought were very highly regarded replica's. Nowadays you could probably buy pattens from the internet, you can certainly get the hardware, something...
Yes he's ok, but as to making custom items thats another matter. I asked could he make a B6 with the small waist strap as on the ANJ4 rather than those awful(in my opinion) waist adjuster zips but the answer was no even though that part was standard on another jacket and also historically...
