    Show us your Stingy Brims

How about Tyrol hats or is it a Trachtenhüte I'm in Heidelberg here so the hat wandered a little off course ;)

What's the deal with sponsor patches?

Allowing a girl to wear my A2 on a cold night certainly aided my Thrust Potential a bit later that evening ;)

Most versatile Aero jacket? What do you think?

My personal love is the Teamster in Brown, it can go with black if you combo it such as Brown boots(for me), black trousers, brown belt, tan or earth colours shirt topped off with the Teamster. Not too long to be a coat, not to heavy, looks good with jeans or trousers, great with a trilby(Fedora...

My Teamster and A10 Gloves, IN ACTION at Aysgarth Falls!

No mate, it's Aero's brown front quarter Horse. If ordering I would;d ask for a sample as Aero's browns occasionally are different shades and tones etc, basically it is what they are supplied with. I have a 12 year old Highwayman that came as a dark but plain brown, ageing well but quite...

The Grail!! Found an Irvin that fits.

Why not stick it in the WWII Irvin topic. Mr Swatland lurks in its depths and can spot an Irvin while squinting with his eyes shut. I think this is the link to the posts: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/all-original-irvin-raf-type-jackets-loving-that-wolf-in-sheeps-clothing.35313/

My original B3 and repro 2 in 1

Nice restoration using those pieces salvageable. I have a 15th AAF A2 that I have had now for 35 years. When I bought the jacket I wore it many times as not many enthusiasts wore originals at that time. Unfortunately The 15th patch fell off and was lost. I painted this replica myself as most...

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Mackinaw coats

This is really nice for something modern and a lot better looking than the WWII item. As a daily wearer I would guess it would out sell the US Army design more than 10 to 1. The original garments are fine for doing what they did though now strictly for reenactors I guess. Im looking for one in...

    JFK's black leather jacket

Guess anything with famous persons names involved puts a premium on a value. What next? JFKs slippers or Jackie's bra? Indeed someone in the UK bought a toilet Hitler used

    JFK's black leather jacket

Looks like a TKMaxx mall jacket IMHO :( If he has the provenance definitely sell it and buy a wardrobe full of Aero's or whatever is your favourite maker. Were I to be shown this ahem! Iconic piece, I would mumble a low key "Nice"

Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

Thanks :) I had wanted a 1960s straight zip bike jacket at the time, a few turned up second hand but not that many and nothing suitable in my size, also I really wanted a new item and Lewis were out of production so to speak, Aero I had lost touch with. The moleskin lining is not that easy to...

Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

Maybe the shoulder shape has/had changed when you bought this? My Aero Highwayman is not really comfy with an armoured Knox vest either so stick to the Eastman.

Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

Are you listening Gary? Maybe the grey colour comes from an original jacket as I have seen similar of other WWII German equipment and clothing. The photo at the bottom left of the waist adjuster appears to have the heavy pleats of the original design jacket.

Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

Ok you lot, as we are discussing the Eastman Luftwaffe style, how about this custom jacket Gary made for me. It must have been mid 1990s and ordered at a show, came with a discount too :) , I still have the receipt also but can't find it at the moment. Basically I had it slightly altered to an...

Think you're man enough to handle a BarnStormer flyboy...? No wimps allowed!!

Aero have done some odd colours, some work with various designs, others don't. My favourite is a brown that has the appearance of a fresh Conker(Horse Chestnut), next is Cordovan, a deep red brown that can look like a dark shade of Dr Martens Oxblood. This coat may be cherry, not often seen but...

Think you're man enough to handle a BarnStormer flyboy...? No wimps allowed!!

Someone posted a full sheepskin version a few years back. I'd love one but not been able to trace the style anywhere on the net. The only clue I have is it retailed around $2500 :(

Think you're man enough to handle a BarnStormer flyboy...? No wimps allowed!!

Lovely colour, just needs a little beating up. By that I mean just wear it whenever you can. Mine is also steer, looks great and can be worn with or without the belt, rather tie it behind to be honest.

Anyone bought any boots from Aero?

Just got back from Christmas in Germany where I fancied a walk in the Black Forrest(take note Horst Jankowski:p). This was a true test of them as I had previously wore them a few times but really not that much, just to wear them in and a little comfort feeling so to speak. This was one of those...

Need help choosing my first leather jacket

Hmmm! Hard one that. Rather than paying out big money look at one of the many companies, decide what you like the look of then contact them for a try on. OK you may have to foot the postage if you don't like but thats better than shelling out BIG$$$ and then not liking. Once you have something...

    Anyone recognise this A2 label?

That the main thing as long as you got it at a price you are happy with :) Charity, internet or whatever sale.

    Anyone recognise this A2 label?

Maybe the original owner just died and the person left to execute the remaining items just gave all the clothing to the charity. My Mrs is a little like that though she does know what I paid for certain things I have such as my leathers, but then she does not know the true value of other items...
