As I said I'm guessing. I have a Resistol and have seen others for sale with "Hand Creased" printed on the sweatband. If anyone had the manpower, it was Stetson. But again, with all the historical knowledge gone, who knows?

I can't be sure, but I'll guess Todd Karns' is a hand crease. The Slant hat may have even been hand-creased at the factory. Look at all the pics in the threads with old photos. In group shots you seldom see two hats creased the same and you see some pretty unique creases. My mother-in-law, who...
Joao, I thought of you when I got this one. Later issue (post 1960?) Stetson 100, 3 1/2" brim. The brim is very stiff compared to the older 100 I own, which has a 2 7/8" brim.

Tinben, welcome! You can find lots of good quality vintage stingies in the vintage hats section on eBay, and at very good prices.
Here is a nice '50s or '60s era Borsalino I picked up several years ago on eBay. It's about as nice as you're going to find. Brim width is about 2 1/4 inches.
Thanks, Aaron. I was out of work for half the year and let it grow, then shaved it for job interviews. When none of those jobs came through, I grew it back and got hired after the next interview. I'm keeping it!
