Rubbing it in eh?
Just kidding. Welcome to the forum Jaifree. Wow! I'm really surprised how many people have the Sydney, I had no clue. Mine should arrive today, but I won't see it until I get home from work...around 10pm tonight.
As impatient as I am about waiting a week for...
According to UPS, it should arrive tomorrow :cool2: ;) . I'll definitely let ya know what I think. I'll probably do so this coming weekend. That will give me some time to put some mileage on it.
BTW...Thanks for the taper explanation NonEntity.
I choose "A"
I seriously don't recall ever seeing anyone wear a fedora! It seems to me I would've noticed [huh]. I just ordered my first fedora, so I've never wore one. I have been wearing my Tilley T3's for quite a few years. As ugly as they are, I have had a number of compliments. A few...
Unfortunately, I know all too well of what you speak :( . From a fellow, Northern Michigander (although, not near as North)...
Welcome!
Congrats on the new hat. Thanks to this forum, I also just bought my first fedora...an Akubra Sydney.
I"m sure someone already said this, but I'll repeat it for the sake of confirmation:

After researching it way beyond the norm (I'm a very obsessive person :o), I finally made up my mind and ordered my very first fedora this morning...the Akubra Sydney in "regency fawn" from David Morgan.
I figured I'd better ease into the world of fedoras. I was going to have Art make my...
The DM site, shows the hat with the brim, front and back, sloped down. Is that the way the hat is meant to be? Or is it just how they happen to show it? I ask because I would want the front down, and the back up (you're typical fedora...I'm sure there's a term for it, but I don't know what it...
Absolutely. You are correct.
It's not that you can't correct images to a large degree and get the intended results. It is usually possible...but not always. I've seen many times where an image is so dark as to have no detail to bring out of the black, no matter what you do with software...
Nice hat Al!
Remember, they are guidelines, not rules. It's not that you can't get a good photo without following them. But your chances are increased tremendously if you do, and you won't have to fuss with the photos so much, adjusting the color, brightness, etc., in the computer. There are...
