I haven't posted in FOREVER, but thought this was an appropriate occasion. I've been growing out my hair, head and facial, since the last time I posted. None of my other hats fit anymore, or look right on me, thanks to the long hair. I visited Jaxonbilt Hat Company last fall. Had a great...
I chose the light-colored, lightweight in large part because I would much rather well a felt hat than a Panama, as long as it's not too hot. In the sun on a hot day, I have no problem at all with it. It's perfect.
Thank you, gents! My son was getting pretty annoyed by me making him retake the picture a number of times. He kept framing the photo wrong. Persistence won the day!
Hi, I've been intending to post here again, but kept forgetting. I went with a silverbelly lightweight, same dimensions as my oxblood dressweight (2.5" brim, 6 " crown), and it's an amazing hat! There is a startlingly HUGE difference in the thickness of the felt. The feel is much different. I...

I completely agree. Despite having to see myself, I just love this hat's side profile. By the way, I absolutely HATE taking and posting pics of myself like that, but I hate headless hat shots even more! ;)
Thanks. There's a few ways to post pics. I just uploaded those to photobucket.com and then copy and pasted the links here. Hope to see that hat soon!
So do I! It's 6" open crowned. With its diamond crease, it's about 4 1/4", measured from the inside and eyeballing it to the brim.
The lightweight felt really is incredible. After literally wearing my dressweight oxblood every single day but one since it arrived, the lightweight felt almost feels fragile. It's shockingly light, thin, and soft. Never felt anything like it before. Makes me want another one! My son loves it...
Just got home from an incredible long work day. Knowing since ten this morning that my second VS hat had arrived. This one's a silverbelly lightweight felt with a 6" crown, 4 ligne ribbon and a 2 1/2" bound brim. I took some pictures, but they're not very sharp so pics will have to wait.
My...
Well, I would say most of us buying Art's hats are at least to some degree perfectionists, when it comes to hats.
Thanks for your input. If you don't mind me beating a dead horse, how wide is the brim?
